Let's redefine electability as enthusiasm.

Why We Shouldn’t Care About ‘Electability’ During A Primary

Haley Stevens’ betrayal today shows us it’s not that progressive Democrats, or even democratic socialists, need their own party. It’s that politicians like Haley Stevens always had more in common with Republicans like Mike Rogers and Donald Trump than with the Democratic base. And now she admits it.
That’s why it’s so important to run democratic primaries. It’s not enough to send Democrats to Washington, we have to send Democrats who are fighting for the things working class voters want!
My husband's cousin Doron, a former IDF colonel and peace activist, was just arrested by the IDF. He is a deeply brave and principled opponent of the ongoing genocide. I am hoping for his safe return home soon.
Retired IDF Colonel Doron Meinrath was arrested today by the IDF for protecting a Palestinian community in Khirbet a-Tawil in the occupied West Bank from settler violence. The IDF arrested him after declaring the area of a water cistern he was protecting a "closed military zone".
Doron is one of several thousands of Israeli activists risking their health and freedom to serve as "protective presence" against settler terrorists.

I'm extremely proud of Doron's stand against continuing ethnic cleansing in Palestine. His bravery in the face of oppression is remarkable, and his actions are all-the-more important when they drive attention to the genocide that is unfolding before our eyes.

I say this with no ill will and *some* animosity. I am a Democrat. I earned the nomination to be the person facing the Republican incumbent in Texas House District 132.
Over the last 18 months, I’ve built my own team using my OWN resources and collectively we have knocked on over 40,000 doors in that time.
Unless something crazy happens in the next 6 days, I will file a TEC report that shows that my campaign has ~$2,500 COH.
So when you say “Don't use our resources.” Literally what resources?
“Don't rely on our volunteers.” I’m sorry, WHOSE volunteers? Because you do not own volunteers.
“Don't use our infrastructure.” WHAT INFRASTRUCTURE? Because I am out here on an island in west Harris County and I may not even be able to afford yard signs ffs.
And last but not least: “Don't ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.”
Heard.
Loud and clear.
I won’t ask for anything.
I started this campaign knowing that this was a long shot. I had no money, no political experience or connections, and just a burning desire to just give something BETTER to my hometown than what they have now. And every part of my being is committed to achieving that goal.
And Jamie, I promise that I won’t use “your” resources to win.
God I hate politics.
I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination.
Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
Focus on building the party you actually support.
Political parties aren’t perfect, but they’re built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don’t believe in the party, then don’t ask its members to carry you across the finish line.

I'm Austin Ahlman. Nebraska is my home. This is our fight. You are my people.
Let’s take Nebraska back.
Launch Video: Ahlman for Congress
Austin Ahlman – the son of Norfolk meatpackers and an anti-monopoly crusader – launches an insurgent, independent campaign for Congress taking on incumbent Republican Mike Flood in NE-01.
Congress is not powerless. Democrats must unify around an actual agenda.
1. Vote no on DHS funding bill.
2. Repeal the multi-year $75 billion funding for ICE.
3. End qualified immunity for ICE agents.
4. Investigate and prosecute every single ICE agent who broke the law.
5. Impeach Noem and Bondi.
6. End the Kavanaugh stops with racial profiling and end the militarization of ICE.
7. Codify a use of force standard so courts can enforce the law against rogue ICE agents.
8. Tear down and replace ICE with an agency that has oversight.
Trump is engaged in the SYSTEMATIC destruction of the rule of law.
Only if Congress fights with every legal tool at our disposal including lawsuits in the courts, like we are doing with the Epstein files, can we stop this madness.
We owe that to nurse Pretti and the hundreds of thousands on the streets risking their lives to stand up for our freedoms.
Every member of Congress, regardless of party, should be raising hell that Israel kidnapped American veterans and journalists in international waters.
America first, right?

The Global Sumud Flotilla is set to arrive in Gaza in the next 24 hours. 50 boats from across the world, bringing aid and food to the people of Gaza.
We are calling for their safe passage, an end to the blockade, and unrestricted humanitarian aid to all those suffering now! The entire world is watching.

There’s schools in New Mexico open 4 days a week bc they can’t afford Friday. Schools in Baltimore close when it’s too hot bc they cant afford AC. In whole counties in South Dakota people die a decade before everyone else. But there’s always money for bombs. Alway money for bombs

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Trump struck Iran without any authorization of Congress.
We need to immediately return to DC and vote on @RepThomasMassie and my War Powers Resolution to prevent America from being dragged into another endless Middle East war.

What is the point of an opposition party if it can’t rise to oppose an illegal war that, even if you love wars, is going to be strategically disastrous for the U.S. at the worst moment?

Trump is openly defying the Supreme Court of the United States.
Bring Abrego Garcia home. This is the red line, right, or what is?

It was an honor to work for Rep. Grijalva. He taught me how to fight for progressive change in an institution that is often hostile to the needs of working people. He was incredibly kind and treated his staff like his family. Thanks for taking a chance on me, jefe. Rest in power.

Mahmoud Khalil is a permanent legal resident who is entitled to First Amendment protections like everyone in this country.
If Trump starts illegally revoking green cards from people because he doesn't like their speech, we're on the path to full-blown authoritarianism.
StephanieTaylor retweeted
If the federal government can disappear a legal US permanent resident without reason or warrant, then they can disappear US citizens too.
Anyone - left, right, or center - who has highlighted the importance of constitutional rights + free speech should be sounding the alarm now.
NEWS: Last night, DHS detained a Palestinian who helped lead Columbia encampment.
Agents told him his visa was revoked. He said he had a green card. They were confused—then said that was revoked too.
His attorney demanded a warrant. Agents hung up instead.zeteo.com/p/breaking-dhs-det…

The White House is literally taunting Democratic Senators who are calling for the release of Mahmoud Khalil because Trump actually believes that he can do the same to anyone he disagree with. Every American should be fighting this.
