UWorld: ...patient with exposure to human sewage exhibits seizures, and head CT showed multiple cystic lesions. What is the most likely diagnosis?
me:
Excited to announce I will be doing 2 fellowships and staying at @MountSinaiNYC for both! First up: cardiothoracic anesthesiology. After that, heading to the ICUs for Critical Care! 😎🎉
Lessons learned after 2 years of residency:
-older patients (~85+) are very amused by my eyebrow ring
the hospital I’m currently rotating at has a deli nearby with a bunch of energy drinks I have never seen before. I want to expand and refine my
palate, so I plan to spend the month trying as many as possible.
the kool aid man is dipping his toes into the energy drink sector. A beverage for when you need to burst through that wall (oh YEAH)
-can deceptive, was hoping the actual drink would be blue (it was red)
-did not teleport me back to childhood
-no perceptible HR increase

foot/ankle IVs: seem like a good idea when the head of bed is turned 180 degrees away until your bare forearm is touched by a foot every time you go to give a bolus
