I'm hoping to be back in Carrickfergus in Feb and again in March so if anyone would be interested in an un-official free walking tour of DI Duffy's haunts or just a talky pub crawl
lemme know...
While in Ireland, I took the train from Belfast to CarrickFergus, walked to fictional Detective Sean Duffy‘s house on Coronation Rd. Stopped by Duffy’s Carrickfergus police station, they were kind enough to show me around.🙂 I love the books! @adrianmckinty

I read @StepWalkTV's book about this, 'Hide and Seek', years ago. Highly recommended. The weaving of Monsignor O'Flaherty's extraordinary exploits with Kappler's attempts to stop him made for a gripping read.
Hugh O'Flaherty, an Irish Catholic priest, saved approximately 6,000 Allied soldiers and Jews in Nazi-occupied Rome during World War II.
Operating from the safety of the Vatican, he masterminded a vast underground network of safe houses, farms, and convents to shelter those in peril.
Despite relentless Nazi attempts, they never succeeded in capturing him.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the @StepWalkTV event in Enniskillen last night, for his new book ‘Peacemaker’, about the life and political career of Lord David Trimble.
It was a pleasure to join Stephen to discuss the book and it was great to see so many people there, for what was a very enjoyable evening of political history and reflection.
Next stop for the tour is the Old Courthouse Theatre in Antrim on Thursday 30th October with @markdevenport

A great piece about a great friend (and I'm not just saying that because he gives me a mention). 😬 @StepWalkTV is a proper journalist and an even better author. If you haven't bought a copy of his latest biography (David Trimble), please do. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/life/…
