Smart move. Great brand and desirable products coupled with wide reach.

Exclusive: The Gail’s bakeries investor McWin Capital Partners and fellow hospitality chain-owner TriSpan are about to sign a £75m deal to buy FlatIron, the group of steak restaurants. The transaction, which confirms a @SkyNews report in May, will be announced next month.
Something that we forecast to happen, as hike in wage rates get passed onto consumers.
The danger is that @bankofengland will maintain rates, keeping pressure on consumers, reducing growth in #hospitality #foodservice

Co-op has done a deal to open around 160 convenience stores on EG petrol forecourts.
After selling its own forecourt business to Asda, run by Mohsin Issa.
Zuber Issa sold his stake in Asda.
And now runs EG Group's UK forecourts.
Got that?
Why has @vernonkay got a kids puppet doing the music quiz on @BBCRadio2 ?
The continuing dumbing down is really frustrating.
This is a brilliant move by #AzzurriGroup as we forecast further growth in #FastFood and as #CasualDining moves towards that sector.
Despite a highly competitive environment, we still forecast further growth for spicy #FriedChicken over the #next5years

So, is @timhortonsuk slowing down expansion?
This new site in Peterborough has finished building, but no sign of shopfitting yet…
Or is there a delay in shopfitting capabilities?
Just down the road, there is a new #Drivethru site on a shared basis for @BurgerKingUK and…..1/2
@tacobelluk, which is pushing on and recruitment underway for @BurgerKingUK
So, no slowdown in expansion there.
#FutureFoodservice forecasts are for continuing growth for #FastFood and #Drivethrus, so the question is purely about the @timhortonsuk site….
Regrettably, as services inflation remains sticky - due to national min wages etc - rate remains at 5.25%.
We did forecast a drop in the summer, but it will be the later stages, not the earlier one!
(Not that there’s been much summer!)

Buy your #Kobe beef in a shop display cabinet, then have it cooked for you on the grill outside the shop!
Incredible flavour from the beef, and an amazing way to eat street food.
The beauty of #okonomiyaki from #Osaka …..
This has to be one example of street food really coming to life!
Although it’s just bonito flakes in the heat….
Heading off on a study tour to Japan, where lots of interesting food and drink will be sampled…..
So why not start with a kebab for breakfast……!

If you plan on making a big play of "no GDP growth in the UK during April" stop and look at this series. Just incredibly volatile and events (bank holidays, funerals, weather) causing material volatility in the monthly series either side of zero. What the data does tell you is that UK annual growth at 0.7% 3m/3m YoY is steadily recovering as inflation drops back.
