#CaroleVorderman has been subject to so much repulsive #misogyny over the years. She is measured about it, but this is next level. She is right to be angry. #toxicmasculinity #Reform
Have a listen to James O Brien’s interview with Carole Vorderman. There is zero excuse for the type of mysogyny he exhibited in his social media posts( now deleted). He is totally unfit.

The @churchofengland church St Simon Zelotes in Chelsea has, according to the #BishopofEbbsfleet, a policy of excluding women from various roles (aka #MaleHeadship/‘#Complementarian’, #WomenSubjecttoMen). Can’t see any mention of this on the church website. @ Mike & Liz 🙏🏽

Let's have a Bishop of London who ordains women and accepts the spiritual authority of our archbishop of Canterbury - please, Anglicans, sign this petition to say this is what we want for the biggest diocese in our country c.org/y6TgNJ9QMY

This is disgraceful hypocrisy, given his history with #DavidTudor & #JohnPerumbalath. @CottrellStephen should have resigned long ago. @BishopNewcastle was right: he is not the right person to be leading the @churchofengland. He must now go. Thank goodness for @bishopSarahM’s appt
White Ribbon Day marks the national campaign to engage men and boys in ending violence against women and girls. The theme of this year’s events is ‘We Speak Up!’ calling on more men to Speak Up to create a world where everyone is safe, equal, and respected. #WhiteRibbonDay

This string from 2022 explains the basic background to the ongoing, usually deliberately hidden, use of PCC resolutions to exclude women from @churchofengland ministry & leadership opportunities. #TransparencyAboutPCCResolutions
🧵 Summary of the transparency issue that is affecting women in the @churchofengland: 1 In the 8 years since women were finally ‘allowed’ to be bishops, a problem has developed in the church.

‘Establish a Culture of Trust’ was the headline. Trust in the #womenbishops settlement went years ago, because @churchofengland leaders turned a blind eye to the lack of compliance with the agreed terms. Now there’s a generation of male clergy who know they can get away with it.
I wish the @churchtimes was better informed editorially, about the unaddressed problems & lack of compliance with the terms of 2014 settlement. I hoped that would improve over the last year. But Katie Stock’s article -even the headline & subheading were uninformed. #NotEqualYet

1 This article is unbalanced: it doesn’t acknowledge that clergy opposed to equality for women in ministry have not followed the 2014 Declaration terms (e.g. parish consultations, reviews, vocation referrals), which were agreed in good faith. So the agreement is already history.

Is it really true that they’d dare to [heavy] the PCC members, & then also have the audacity not to consult their own @churchofengland congregations, who actually pay for their ministers’ stipends & their church’s bills. Will churchgoers even be told what they’re funding? #LLF
In light of the LLF decision, I'm curious as to whether the Alliance will still pursue plans to get PCCs on board. The plan referred to having individual conversation with PCC members but to what extent are congregations aware? thinkinganglicans.org.uk/wp-…

I expect it will be a blessing for the #ArchbishopofCanterbury not to have to deal with them. And it will help her to have more time to attend to the issues we have in the @churchofengland. I’m so grateful that she has accepted this thankless task. @OfficeofABC @WATCH_ACT

We have published a list here, of the churches that are publicly listed to not fully include women in ministry and leadership. Some of those will be the ones, but the exact details re communion are not publicly listed. womenandthechurch.org/transp…

Please help identify which @churchofengland churches have leaders that are excluding women from equal ministry with men, so that ordinary churchgoers can be aware & choose which church to attend or avoid.
Can you help with this? We’ve been contacted by a number of people who say that our list, compiled from the #MaleOnlyPriesthood societies’/bishops’ own lists, needs corrections! If you know of any inaccuracies or additions to this list, please email: [email protected]

Fantastic that so many @churchofengland followers have been alerted to the minority of CofE churches where the active policy of the church’s leaders to exclude women has been kept under the radar. #TransparencyAboutPCCResolutions #NotEqualYet
We are so encouraged by the huge response to our Transparency campaign. Thank you to the thousands who have visited this page on our website: womenandthechurch.org/transp…

I had a look at the £6.2m granted to Liverpool, the poorest diocese, by Archbishops’ Council (£30m over 7 years in principle). The diocese will now be able to maintain a lower level of parish share & invest in the frontline. churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2…
