Small business owners have been calling out the fact that exorbitant credit card interchange fees aka swipe fees undermine their prosperity and are now their highest expense after payroll! Congress can, and *should* vote on putting a ceiling on fees (as is done for debit cards).
End this monopoly tax on small businesses and consumers.
While our coalition members urge senators to pass the Credit Card Competition Act to lower swipe fees that are already 7x higher than rates in Europe, credit card companies are increasing rates.
