I had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen @Statsmin. I thanked Denmark for its tangible and strong support for Ukraine, which strengthens our defense capabilities and helps our people.
Of course, we discussed Ukraine’s European integration and the opening of the first negotiation cluster. Denmark currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the EU. We must make the most of this time to implement all the necessary decisions.
On our side, we are doing everything to fulfill our obligations to the EU. The presidential bill guaranteeing the independence of anti-corruption bodies has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. I’m grateful to Denmark for its support. We agreed that the parliament must vote on this bill without delay – already this week.
We also coordinated our upcoming contacts, both bilateral and within broader international formats. We continue working together to bring closer a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.

I had a good meeting with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen @Statsmin.
We held a substantive discussion on the development of joint weapons production, Denmark’s EU Council Presidency, and continued support for our warriors. We have important decisions – Denmark will become the first country with which we will launch a joint defense production. Every country that genuinely supports Ukraine now can count on a mutually beneficial partnership with us. Together, we are strengthening Europe.
I am grateful to Denmark for its significant defense and political support. Thank you, Mette, for the fact that we can always count on you and the friendly people of Denmark.

I had a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and thanked her for the Danish model of direct investment in Ukraine's defense industry, which has been successfully implemented for a year now.
We discussed coordination of our positions with partners, defense assistance, actions against Russia’s shadow fleet, and ways to preserve European unity and achieve a just and lasting peace through our joint efforts.
We expect the EU’s 16th sanctions package to target Russian oil, the entire shadow fleet, as well as its captains and crew members.

I welcome today's Nordic-Baltic Eight ++ joint statement on countering Russia's shadow fleet. I thank leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom for their principled stance.
Aside from generating enormous profits for Russia's war machine and funding war crimes against Ukrainians, these aging oil tankers pose a serious environmental threat to the Baltic and Northern Seas' coastal states.
It is only fair to limit Russia's shadow fleet's activities in order to protect Ukraine and our entire Europe. We are looking forward to the practical implementation of the insurance checks mentioned in the statement. We need collective resolve to defund the Russian war machine and protect the European environment.

I had a productive meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen @Statsmin in Reykjavík, where we discussed the success of the recent Ukraine-Nordic Summit.
I am deeply grateful to Prime Minister Frederiksen personally and to Denmark for their steadfast support in saving lives and preserving Ukraine’s future, for its leadership in supporting Ukrainian weapons production, enhancing our air defense, and setting a strong example for other partners.
We emphasized the importance of sustaining pressure on Russia to curb its war financing and bring peace closer, urging broader support from European and G7 partners.
We also discussed potential cooperation in training and equipping a Ukrainian brigade, advancing the Peace Formula, and strengthening cooperation with the Global South to secure a just and lasting peace.

Together with the Danish Prime Minister @Statsmin Mette Frederiksen and the @MinPres Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, we agreed to keep on with supplying ammunition to Ukraine in 2025 so that Ukraine can continue to defend itself against ongoing Russian aggression and thus support both the Ukrainian and our defence industry.
We urge other countries to do the same. This is in the interests of the security of the whole of Europe.

I appreciate the implementation of our agreements, as well as Denmark's growing financial support for Ukraine's defense industry.
Denmark's contribution to funding weapons production in Ukraine will have reached $215 million. I thank Denmark—its people, parliament, and government—for their consistent leadership, which strengthens both countries and our entire Europe.

Last week, @Statsmin Mette Frederiksen and I had a detailed discussion on Ukraine’s most urgent defense needs.
And today, Denmark announced a military aid package that includes exactly what we need: air defense, artillery, bolstering the F-16 program, and direct procurement from Ukrainian defense manufacturers.
I am grateful to Prime Minister Frederisken, her government, all @Folketinget members, and the Danish people for their steadfast support for Ukraine in this fight for our shared values and future.

Many thanks to all the countries that have joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine so far. We have managed to raise enough money to buy the first batch of 300,000 artillery shells. However, our goal is to deliver much more!
Our work and our help to Ukraine do not end here. We keep seeking partners so that we can continue to support Ukraine in its brave fight against the Russian aggressor.
