Baylor quarterback DJ Lagway is currently on the field at McLane Stadium getting in a very intense workout with the training staff. There isn't any visible wrap on his ankle, and he looks to be going through all the drills at full speed, at least from my perspective.

Because Week 1 resembled the defensive performances of the past two seasons when the Cowboys allowed most points in the league and replaced the DC after a single season both times.

Until recently, I can’t recall an NFL head coach so consistently blaming communication failures for poor defensive performances. Is it really that difficult?
Brian Schottenheimer on the Week 1 loss to the Giants and the defensive issues. “You address it first and foremost, it was surprising we didn’t communicate well. First part is being decisive and loud. Second part, that's the the person that's giving it, and then the receiving is where we're off. You know, on a few things, calls are being made. They have to be louder. They have to be more decisive, but they have to be received. And to co-sign that, you see us. We signal all the time based on you know different things, so you can't hear what they're saying on the film. So there should be hand signals that show information being received, and you know we need to do better. And it wasn't good enough, but we emphasize that we talked about it, and they understand. I think sometimes guys try to do a little bit too much in those situations, especially if they don't hear what they're. The way the National Football League is right now is, you know, we're this way on offense. You know, you're trying to change the picture. You're trying to make things look different. You're trying to make people have to adjust on the run. Motion shifts, movements are at all-time high in this level. So, if you don't communicate when the numbers change and the picture changes, then you're going to put yourself at a disadvantage.”

Sources: Baylor’s Nate Bennett will make his first career start for the Bears this weekend, as DJ Lagway (ankle) is not expected to play against Prairie View A&M. Lagway was injured against Auburn and isn’t expected to be out long-term. It’s uncertain if he’ll dress and be available.

Permitting a member school to already, even before the league-wide governance model is established, break conference policies would jeopardize the viability of any new governance concept. An SEC president to @YahooSports: "It is time for everyone to follow SEC rules."

A federal judge will hear the SEC's arguments for a temporary restraining order against LSU at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The judge granting such a request may pave the way for the league's expulsion vote scheduled for Thursday.
As well as the amended complaint, the SEC also requested a temporary restraining order against LSU to pave the way for it to expel the university from the conference in a vote scheduled for Thursday. Here's a portion of the TRO:

Hahahahha LSU really just nuked their relationship with the SEC and STILL didn’t put these guys on the roster. Incredible.

Lane Kiffin on the roster drama: "That wasn't easy. As much as I feel for the players … at the same time, I'm the head coach at LSU and I had to make a decision for the big picture of LSU, with the uncertainties of what could come by adding them to the roster."
