Posting for the first time in a long time for what will be my final post on here! I’ve stopped using as it’s become a hotbed for toxicity and instead, I’m joining all the nice guys on Bluesky. I’m statsjen.bsky.social if you want to come follow me over there!

We bought general tickets and purchased a red car parking ticket accordingly. We have just purchased a Zodiac Field upgrade meaning that we will now need to use the purple car park. Is there a way to get our parking ticket exchanged from red to purple

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Frank Duckworth MBE, co-inventor of the Duckworth-Lewis method for cricket and a much loved RSS fellow.
Editor of RSS News for 20 years and recipient of our Chambers Medal, he will be greatly missed.

Fun fact about me…I’m a lifelong @WTrinityRL fan and a former cheerleader. I’m the baby face in the glasses bottom left. Me and my dad used to travel the north watching them every weekend but this is the first time they’ve been to Wembley in my lifetime! Come on the Trin!

Nothing wrong with statisticians!
I’m Liverpool bound to do some filming with @BBCNWT today, discussing data literacy and why it’s so important that we teach it to all children in schools
2/2 This act of kindness meant so much to my friend so had to get myself one. Bonus is that they are also absolutely fab! If you can spare the money, it’s such a thoughtful initiative to help out scampanddude.com/collections…
1/2 Recently came across @ScampandDude through a friend who is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. They sell superhero scarves and for every one you buy, they donate another to a woman with cancer or the mother of a child with cancer…

It was inspiring to discuss how we can work together to amplify diversity and inclusion in statistics and data science 📢

It was my maths teacher at @TrinityAcademyC who convinced me to take it as an A-level and without her, who knows where I would be today!
Here’s an interview I did with them where I talk about my journey into data, what I love about working with data, and how all children should learn some data literacy as we continue to become a data generation! bbc.co.uk/teach/microbit/art…
The survey is a series of seven fun, cross-curricular activities that are driven by real world applications of data and show just how ubiquitous data is.
I’ve teamed up with the BBC @microbit_edu and the @ONS to be an ambassador for their playground survey - a UK-wide exploration of the place school children visit nearly every day, providing a practical understanding of the value of data and how data is used in today's world.
