Claude Code just found proof that every app on your phone is listening to your conversations. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat. they're using what you say out loud to build your feed. i have the data to prove it.
i've suspected this for months but last week something happened that made me finally check.
i was on a call with my friend and told him i'm thinking about breaking up with my girlfriend. didn't text it. didn't search it. just said it out loud with my phone on the table. two hours later she opens TikTok next to me and her entire feed is breakups. "signs your relationship is over." "how to heal after a breakup." she looked at me and said "why is TikTok showing me this." i said i don't know. but i did know.
i connected my iPhone to my MacBook and ran Claude Code that same night.
it scanned every app's background microphone activity for the last 90 days. not just the apps that asked for microphone permission. apps that were supposed to only have access to photos or location but were activating the microphone anyway.
what it found:
→ TikTok activated the microphone 347 times while the app was "closed" in the background
→ Instagram → 211 background activations
→ Facebook → 189
→ Snapchat → 94
every activation lasted between 3 and 15 seconds. enough to catch a sentence. every one of them tagged a keyword and cached it locally on the phone with a timestamp.
Claude Code pulled the full keyword cache:
→ "breakup" — tagged 4 hours before her feed changed
→ "moving out" — from a conversation with my mom last Tuesday
→ "wedding venue" — from a call with my sister about her engagement that i never searched once
→ "protein powder" — said it out loud to my roommate, had ads for it within an hour
→ "flight to tokyo" — mentioned it at dinner, saw travel ads the same night
those keywords were sitting in a local cache on my phone organized by app with timestamps. TikTok had the most entries. Instagram was second. every single keyword matched a conversation i had out loud near my phone.
the scariest one was "wedding venue." my sister told me she's getting engaged on a private call. i never searched it. never typed it. within a day my explore page had engagement rings and venue tours.
then Claude Code checked a second phone in the same room. my girlfriend's. same keywords. same timestamps. both phones were picking up the same conversation and tagging it independently.
i asked Claude Code how to shut it down. it mapped every app's microphone access and built a permission audit.
what i did:
→ revoked microphone access from every app that doesn't need it to function
→ disabled background app refresh for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat
→ turned off "Hey Siri" which keeps the microphone in passive listening mode 24/7
→ revoked "nearby interaction" permission which uses ultrasonic audio between devices
Claude Code confirmed all four apps lost background microphone access after the changes. i checked her phone too. same steps. took about 3 minutes per phone.
within 48 hours both our feeds went completely random. generic content. nothing personal. nothing from our conversations. that's when i knew for sure it was real.
the full step by step and the prompt are in the first reply. takes 3 minutes. save it so you don't lose it and send it to anyone who's ever said "my phone is definitely listening to me." it is. now you can prove it and shut it down.

Canada’s Bill C-22 would force telecoms and messaging apps to keep six months of metadata on every citizen, whether or not they’re suspected of anything.
Cabinet will decide who has to comply and how, with the first regulations due up to two years after it becomes law.
Companies can be fined $250,000 a day for not obeying secret ministerial orders.
The minister insists it isn’t about surveilling honest Canadians. Signal would rather leave the country than find out, and Windscribe is packing too.
The bill is now with a Senate committee, which is the last place anyone can change it.

Sidewalk delivery robots are accused of scanning customers' faces and sharing the biometric data. Every bystander on the route gets scanned too. Is the microphone always on?
Facial geometry cannot be changed once it leaks. You don't need to wait for the court case to settle: don't use delivery robots in the first place.

"Europe no longer exists."
I can't believe @MarkJCarney can be that naive.
Maybe he is just destructionist like the people burning Europe right now.

Ottawa is defending Bill C-34's proposed social media ban for children under 16, insisting it complies with the Charter.
Yet the government's own analysis acknowledges potential impacts on freedom of expression, privacy, and equality rights.

BLOODY HELL!!!
1/3) Everything that Carney is doing with the EU is a continuation of what Harper and the Conservatives started in 2014.
Horizon 2020 is now Horizon Europe. Harper's government even identified the Agenda 2030 Goals before their creation.

💥WILD: After the Allison Inquiry exposed the ineffective COVID vaccine and the government's COVID psyop—Danielle Smith announced an expansion of the COVID-19 vaccination program.
The journalist linked the rise in influenza deaths to low vaccination rates, and Smith acknowledged it—then Minister Ariana LaGrange revealed—that, like the COVID vaccine, the influenza vaccine was ineffective against the circulating strain.
Smith is compromised.

Governments keep telling us ID checks will make the internet safer. Here is what an ID check actually did for a woman in Pennsylvania.
Cash App demanded Social Security numbers to stop fraud. Hers leaked in a data breach, a scammer opened an account with it, and the police arrested her for his crime. She spent three nights in jail. Cash App now refuses to show her the account because she can’t prove it’s hers, which is exactly what she has been telling them.
Every ID check builds another vault of stolen identities waiting to happen. The more of them we’re forced through, the easier fraud gets, and the people paying for it are the ones who did everything they were told.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence.
PS if they thought they could get away with it, they’d be doing it here right now as well.

This is where I was tonight. I caught the water canon on tape from a different angle. I spoke to many Italians tonight from declared fascists (pro-Mussolini) to anti fascists and they ALL said the police shouldn’t be using force like this to break up protests. They ALL agreed that if there’s looting or destruction, use the water, but don’t use it just to break up a protest.
Also, all of the people I witnessed protesting tonight were native Italians, not migrants. Though they also all say the looting and destruction, which is seperate from the protests, is being done primarily by 14-17 year old children of migrants, most born in Italy who “just want the latest Nikes”.

BILL C-224: HOW DID WE GET HERE? PART 7
If Health Canada already has extensive enforcement powers, why are Liberals pushing for additional regulatory authority over natural health products?
In this clip from the HESA Committee proceedings, Conservative MP Blaine Calkins challenges Liberal MP Sawatzky on the need for expanded powers. He points out that Health Canada already has the authority to stop sales, seize products, revoke licences and Natural Product Numbers, mandate label changes, and conduct inspections.
Calkins questions whether the proposed changes will meaningfully improve safety or simply introduce more onerous regulations and costly bureaucratic steps. He also raises concerns about the evidence used to justify the changes and emphasizes that the industry is not opposed to regulation — the issue is whether the additional burden is justified.
The exchange highlights a critical concern surrounding Bill C-224: after initially supporting the bill, Liberals are now seeking changes that threaten to undermine its purpose of protecting Canadians’ access to natural health products.
We’re continuing to share clips from the proceedings so Canadians can see how the debate unfolded and understand the decisions shaping Bill C-224’s future.
