GPS tagging of migrants is cruel and disproportionate, as research from PLP, @Medical_Justice and @BIDdetention has proven.
Now the Home Office's evaluation of its own GPS tagging pilot has revealed that it was ineffective too.

Italian PM Meloni claimed credit for the drop in European migrant crossings: bit.ly/3E5EJ4x
Any politician also has the courage to "claim credit" for the death of at least 1699 people in the Central Mediterranean⁉️

A report delivered by a High-Level Group “#GoingDark” 🌑 promotes an ideology of maximum police access to data for surveillance purposes. Read our open letter reacting to these flawed EU policy recommendations and our offer for a brighter approach. ☀️

That’s why we are reaffirming our own pledge: to challenge these empty commitments and continue exposing the threats to human rights everywhere, especially by the states claiming to uphold them.

Some say Genocide is difficult to prove. But #incitement to genocide, a separate crime, is not.
Our @sciencespo clinic, 'International Law in Action', filed a case @IntlCrimCourt, seeking the prosecution & arrest of 8 Israelis for #incitement to Genocide in Gaza.

We currently have the right not to be subject to a legal or significant decision based solely on automated processing.
The #DUABill removes this right, requiring individuals to scrutinise and assert their rights against decisions made by AI.

Dear @nicolaorlando what women’s right are you talking about, are black African migrant women included?
So far this year over 20 thousand have been captured at sea at gunpoint & retuned to Libya, among them are women who are detained and raped everyday in the facilities you fund
🟠 There is #NoExcuse for violence against women.
On international day for the elimination of violence against women the Delegation of the European Union launches the yearly 16 days of activism campaign joining Libyan citizens and institutions standing against all forms of violence against women.
Europe and European member states are committed to supporting #Libya to protect women and girls against this global scourge.
On this symbolic day, we call on the House of Representatives to adopt the law on the elimination of violence against women approved by its legislative committee on 18 January 2024.
Break the silence. End the violence.
