Ok, this post is different... AI isn't replacing anything, it is giving a new skillset to people that wouldn't have it otherwise. I really believe that people are afraid of AI because they don't believe that they are enough without their "speciality". Your speciality is YOU. No one on the planet is you and no one can come close to you. Your stories, your experiences, your journey, all of that is you.
AI gives you skills you never thought you could attain unless you attend another 5 years of schooling and then 5 years in the industry. But it is leveling the playing field, and the people that are passionate about something, can now create it without all that overhead. There is definitely some capital needed to start, it cost me $50 to create an entire musical artist. That is not even an hour of studio time.
I would love to hear your comments and thoughts about this.
And meet Rhett Halden, my favorite musical artist today.

I built a country/hip-hop artist this morning.
His name is Rhett Halden.
He is 41, from Chattanooga, raised on gospel, sober, still rooted in his faith, and makes music somewhere between country, hip-hop, soul, and Southern gospel.
None of that existed when I woke up.
I used AI to help create the music, but the interesting part was not the generation.
It was the direction.
The backstory. The worldview.
The genre. The voice. The lyrics. What felt authentic. What felt fake. What to throw away. What to keep.
At one point, we wrote a song called "No Proof Needed" about sobriety, grace, and realizing you do not have to spend your life proving your worth.
The finished song literally brought me to tears.
That surprised me.
I have been thinking a lot lately about what AI actually changes.
It can generate incredibly quickly, but speed is not the same thing as taste.
You still need to know what you want. You still need experience to recognize when something is wrong. You still have to make hundreds of small decisions that turn output into something coherent.
AI did not make Rhett Halden.
It gave me an absurdly powerful set of instruments. I still had to produce the record.
Anyway, Rhett released his first single today.
Apparently I manage a fictional country singer now.

Check this out... This was me playing with AI on @descript (voice, avatar, and b-roll) if content is important than Descript should be on your payroll.
