Thought of the day; Why do we oppose hyper scale data centers? Why do we oppose massive solar installations? This is the real problem. People don’t know what we are fighting. We are not fighting technology. We are not fighting progress. We’re not even fighting ai. What most of us are fighting is the rapid invasion of these massive energy sucking black holes, the use of NDA’s and black out tactics to keep people in the dark. We are fighting against the reckless waste of our local resources and farm land. We are fighting against out of touch politicians who think they no longer represent the people. We are fighting against an invisible entity who hides in the shadows. We are fighting for our community and our homes and our children. This is not a battle against ai. It’s a battle against billionaire tech giants and government corruption. Ecological and environmental sabotage. Yes we have a lot of questions about where ai is taking us. It has its uses for sure but like any tool it can and will be weaponized at some point. So the concerns are valid. So don’t be mislead by a few. This isn’t a battle against technology. It never has been. Most all of us use this tech every single day. This is a battle for the preservation of our community. This a a warning shot to those politicians who insist on siding with big business and have failed to represent the people. We don’t all have to agree on the need for data centers. What I hope is enough of us can agree on that information has been hidden, the people have been left out of the conversation and big business and big government have taken our community from us with little to no warning. We should also be able to agree that the local officials we have elected to manage and protect our community have failed. Attended city and county meetings. Speak your mind. Remind them that if they silence your voice they are derelict in their duties. Pressure them to answer questions and to defend their positions. Make them go on record answering the tough questions. So one please push for a law that bans any and all local officials from signing NDA’s in the future. This should not be legal. Council meeting tomorrow night. Fill the room. Be respectful be courteous but be tenacious. Remember they work for you.

How well are we doing loving one another? I'm going to start with the family! If your family is anything like mine, you will have at least one person who doesn't speak to another person. Sometimes that one person wants YOU to choose sides. What do you do? Then there's the neighborhood. Feuds happen. What is your response? Moving on to the workplace, do you treat all your fellow workers with equal kindness and generosity? Your family, neighbors and maybe co-workers know that you are Christian. For them, you are an example of the faith that you – that I – profess and there are expectations. We are all God's beloved children. He doesn't play favorites and doesn't expect us to as well. Jesus gave us one command: love one another. I didn't hear any exceptions in this Gospel passage. Sometimes a simple smile can change a person's day. We are usually good when there is a crisis. We send sympathy cards or a meal to someone who experiences a loss. We might help babysit for someone who has a family emergency. But in the everyday, it's how we show respect, courtesy, kindness – love – that lets others know that we care. There's an old story about a monastery where the monks are told that Jesus is one of them. They began to treat each one as if he were Jesus and before long, people flocked to the monastery because of the love they witnessed among the monks. Well, Jesus is among us. He lives in each of us. If we begin to treat everyone as we would treat Jesus, what wonders we might see in our families, our neighborhoods, our workplaces and our churches.
