Our terminal in Canton, Ohio, recently held a customer appreciation lunch for first responders, drivers and stakeholders. Participants were treated to lunch and received MPC swag bags. Portions of the catered meal were also donated to a local homeless shelter and kitchen in Canton. During the festivities, Canton terminal personnel presented grants to three local organizations. Serving Area Military Center (SAM) was awarded $2,500 for lodging kits for area veterans as they transition from homelessness into housing. Stark County Hunger Task Force – Blessings in a Backpack received $2,500 to purchase food for the program that provides weekly weekend meals to more than 1,600 children at 16 different schools. Canton Township Board of Trustees received $5,380 to implement a reverse 911 system. “The Canton terminal team continues to expand their impact within the community,” said Canton Area Manager Andy Schulze. “We’ve built genuine relationships through drills, virtual calls, and individual tours and exercises, but there is no substitute for in-person interactions." #NationalLogisticsDay
