I think people underestimate how difficult it actually is to put an event like this together. There’s injuries, pullouts, complications, outside bullshit, and a million other things happening behind the scenes that people don’t see. I’ve been pretty quiet about everything because, truthfully, I’ve been busy WORKING. I’m focused on putting this event together, not spending my days responding to every conversation happening on Twitter. I’ve seen SCB talking about certain things, and that’s fine. i'm able to separate you all saying opinions and actually wishing ill on the event. But not everything being discussed about this event has anything to do with what SCB has said. There are plenty of other people watching, speculating, and running with their own narratives. Let me make something VERY clear: rumors started circulating that this event was cancelled because of reported injuries and potential pullouts. The narrative of a cancelled did not come from SCB (which is pretty fucking clear) some people just had added bullshit on top of questions. I won’t sit back and let people spread misinformation about something we’ve put so much time, money, and effort into building. If you have questions about the event, the matchups, or anything else, that’s completely fair. We’ll address everything. But THE EVENT IS STILL HAPPENING. October 17th. Houston, Texas. We’re putting together a night of Starborn Exhibitions, Starborn Influencers, and Starborn Pro fights. This is about creating opportunities, giving people a platform, and putting on something for the community. It’s for the people. If you want to be there, we’d love to have you. I didn't want any promos to fail, never instructed anyone to pull out of anything and never once said someone couldn't fight on another platform if they fought for our event. Just untrue honestly and putting that to rest. I wish lighting would've gone through but it sounds like they will come back. I heard other promos are hinting at returns and new promos as well. If that's what's on the horizon for the SCB community i'm happy for it. I'm not dismissing that Starborn started in SCB but that doesn't mean we have to stick to just SCB creators!
