🥎🔥 KZONE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🔥🥎
Sophia Gratton | Dubuque Hempstead
Some hitters have great seasons. Others put together seasons that seem almost impossible to believe. 🚀🥎 Sophia Gratton did exactly that, turning every trip to the plate into must-watch softball and establishing herself as one of the most dangerous hitters in the area.
The Hempstead standout put together a staggering offensive stat line, batting .613 while collecting 65 hits, 20 doubles, 16 home runs, 71 RBI, and 43 runs scored. She added 16 stolen bases and finished with an eye-popping 2.013 OPS, making her a threat to change the game every time she stepped into the batter's box.
📊 Large School Rankings
⚾ 1st in Batting Average (.613)
⚾ T-1st in Home Runs (16)
⚾ 1st in RBI (71)
⚾ 2nd in Hits (65)
⚾ 1st in Doubles (20)
⚾ 3rd in Stolen Bases (16)
⚾ 1st in OPS (2.013)
What made Gratton's season so special was her ability to dominate every major offensive category. She didn't just hit for average. She hit for power, drove in runs at an elite level, created extra-base damage throughout the lineup, and consistently put pressure on opposing defenses. Her combination of average, power, and run production made her one of the most complete offensive players in the area.
Whether she was driving a ball into the gap, clearing the fence, or delivering a clutch hit with runners on base, Gratton consistently rose to the occasion. Her bat helped fuel Hempstead's offense all season long and made her one of the premier hitters in the region.
That's why Sophia Gratton is the 2026 KZONE Offensive Player of the Year. 🏆🥎🔥

Thursday the 25
Sophie Brauhn from Dubuque Hempstead
Sophie was absolutely bringing the boom at the plate in a rivalry split with Dubuque Senior! She went 2-for-6 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Talk about making every swing count — Sophie was launching softballs, clearing the bases, and giving the Mustangs a huge spark in a crosstown showdown. 💣🥎🔥
That’s the kind of stat line that can change a game in a hurry. Sophie was flat-out mashing and turned the batter’s box into her own personal power alley. ⚡👏

🥎🔥 KZONE Softball Player of the Night 🔥🥎
Mallory Tomkins from Dubuque Hempstead
Mallory was absolutely wearing out the barrel and turning in a monster day at the plate for the Mustangs! She went an eye-popping 7-for-8 with a double, 3 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, and 1 RBI. Talk about setting the table and keeping the line moving — Mallory was slapping hits all over the yard and creating chaos every time she got on base. ⚡🥎💨
That’s the kind of stat line that stuffs the scorebook and keeps the offense rolling inning after inning. Mallory was flat-out in a groove and made life miserable for the defense all day long. 🔥👏
