Menstruation should never be a barrier to a girl’s education, confidence, or well-being. Through our Period Health Support Project, under @StandoutForAll's Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) area of impact, we reached 30 girls at Saint Charles Upper Basic School, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills in menstrual health and hygiene. Facilitated by @SukaiFatajo, our Communications and Programs Officer, the interactive session went beyond awareness to provide practical, hands-on learning. The girls learned how to make their own reusable sanitary pads, alongside essential hygiene practices. Beyond the practical activities, the session created a safe and supportive space for open conversations, allowing girls to ask questions, challenge misconceptions, and break the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation.
