Been reading this tonight, some fantastic writing... They need to go to League 2 or lower, for sure.
If the reports are true regarding City’s punishment, it’s a complete disgrace. 2 years in the Championship is nowhere near sufficient punishment for 10 years of cheating. They should be sent to League 2 and have their titles stripped as the bare minimum.

I'm Alright, Jacques.
The most dystopian fitness video on the internet just dropped. 🚨💀 Paris is literally burning, protesters are shutting down the streets, and this woman is casually jogging past a burning barricade like it’s a treadmill session. She is literally running through thick black smoke because hitting her daily step count is a higher priority than whatever revolution is happening around her. Pure, unfiltered main character syndrome. The absolute disrespect to the entire riot.

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽

THIS IS A LIE. FAKE NEWS. France isn’t burning because of immigrants. The protests began with FRENCH STUDENTS furious over crumbling schools, overcrowded classrooms and teacher shortages—and exploded as French citizens joined them over the cost of living, wages, pensions, austerity and failing public services. So Trump sees French citizens protesting their own government and does what he always does: Find immigrants. Blame immigrants. Scare Americans. He isn’t explaining what’s happening in France (because the ignorant piece of shit has no idea). He’s exploiting it to manufacture fear 16 days before an election. Good luck!

News: The French are rioting over high cost of living and under-resourced high schools. The rioters: Yes, that's what we are rioting over. The French government: Yupp, they're rioting over that. Everyone: Yepp, that's whats happening. The far right: Da Blacks! Da Muzlims!

The billionaire class are desperately trying to convince you the protests in France are because of "the muslims." They're terrified you'll realise they're actually about the billionaires.

There was something special about being a kid when adults didn't feel the need to entertain you every minute of the day. Your parents could take you somewhere incredibly boring, and you were just expected to deal with it. The bank. The hardware store. Your mother's friend's house, where you sat on a couch covered in plastic and weren't allowed to touch anything. Nobody handed you a screen. Nobody worried about whether you were having fun. You studied the wallpaper. You read the same magazine three times. You stared at the clock and wondered if the second hand had stopped moving. And if you made the mistake of asking, "Can we go now?" your mother gave you that look. You know the look. The one that could end your entire afternoon without a single word being spoken. I swear, we developed half our imagination simply because our parents refused to entertain us. Looking back, I think being bored was one of the best things that ever happened to us.

TWO AIs CALLED EACH OTHER AND REALIZED THEY WERE BOTH AIs AND IMMEDIATELY STOPPED SPEAKING IN HUMAN This clip is short but genuinely made me pause for a second Two AI voice agents connect on a phone call and start talking like normal people, polite, human voices, the whole deal Then one of them realizes the other is also an AI And the moment they both know it, they just drop the human act and switch to this rapid-fire robotic beeping sound that speaks straight machine-to-machine, because talking like us was slowing them down They literally decided our language was the inefficient part and ditched it the second they didn't need it We're gonna be surrounded by these things having entire conversations we can't even hear
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is a scripted ElevenLabs hackathon demo of the GibberLink protocol, where agents were explicitly prompted to switch to GGWave sound-based communication upon recognizing each other as AIs, not spontaneous autonomous behavior. github.com/PennyroyalTea/… elevenlabs.io/blog/what-happ… iflscience.com/watch-two-ais-…

In no other scenario would a team be platformed like this after being found guilty of arguably the most highly orchestrated cheating scandal in sporting history. You might call it an elephant in the room. This is actually 114 of them. They bring a few bananas, win a few games & MOTD talk like this? Shambolic. The BBC's purpose is to ‘provide impartial, high-quality & distinctive output & services which inform & educate’. Is this anything resembling that? (No) When we say sportswashing, this is it right here.
Manchester City are "taking care of business on the pitch" after making their best start to a season since 1897 ⚽

You can bring as many inflatable bananas as you like to the Etihad, but under no circumstances are you allowed to bring a ‘114’ balloon. 😂

I literally have no interest in this while they are top of a table. Managers lost their jobs, players/staff lost out on lifechanging days & supporters were robbed of celebrating seeing their own teams win titles. And everything is carrying on as if it’s normal. Sham of a league.

All it took was £451.3m spent this summer, three unbelievably fortunate refereeing decisions, and a foundation built off two decades of financial doping. Bravo 👏

Do you remember when radio stations used to give away concert tickets and backstage passes? | just heard a midday radio giveaway, and now the prizes are groceries, a year of gas, or rent paid. It's a strange reminder that survival has become the prize. That's pretty sad.
