Dante talking - Loft, His approach & 2 strike hitting. Upon the hundreds of hours of these talks over the last 5+ years, this 2 mins and 30 seconds of simplicity, is probably the most difficult for a hitter to buy into. When to play out front and when not too!
The NEW way to TEE 🔥
The Handy Tee might be the most versatile tee out there.
It holds a:
⚾ Baseball
🥎 Softball
💪 1-lb Plyo Ball
🏈 Even an actual football — you’ll probably never need to… but it can. 😂
Adjustable from 34” all the way to 48” with a flexible cup and a base designed to stay put and NEVER tip over.
One tee. Different athletes. Different drills. Different heights.
Handy Tee — built to handle whatever you put on it.
🔥 Only $50. Get yours now at HandyTee.com
1-Mechanical adjustment: you may see it almost immediately. Give it several sessions to determine whether the hitter can own it without thinking about it.
2-Movement-pattern adjustment: give it roughly 3–6 weeks of consistent exposure before making a strong judgment, assuming you’re seeing signs that it is trending correctly.
3-True ownership: test it under velocity, variability, decision-making and competition. A movement that only survives tee work isn’t really installed yet.
Here’s a video I sent to one of my remote hitters who’s experiencing some frustration with lives after doing so well in practice.
When a new hitter comes in, they obviously want to see quick results.
I can usually get them improvements pretty quickly. Yes, you heard that — quickly.
But permanent change takes time.
Once stress gets reintroduced — live ABs, games, results matter — there’s usually a little breakdown. The hitter wants to revert back to what feels normal and comfortable.
That’s part of the process. Don’t quit- relax, and keep plugging away.
I’ve been doing this a long time. There is no “QUICK” solution.

Common Sense PSA- If you have your screen this far in front of the machine—- you deserve to get hit in the face with a ricochet 😂
Hey Mr & Mrs Perfect, you’re not always gonna be perfect !
Many hitters constantly train inside and outside as different contact points.
Sometimes that fastball is gonna get deeper than you want.
Can you still drive it??
As hitters get more advanced, they will benefit greatly by training a little harder:
Can you hit the inside fastball
up the middle…
and hit the outside fastball
up the middle…
with almost the exact same timing?
That means learning to handle the baseball deeper instead of always having to catch the inside pitch way out front.
Is it comfortable? No.
Will it always look pretty? No.
But games aren’t perfect.
You’re not always going to catch the ball exactly where you planned.
If you can learn to do damage even when the ball gets deeper than you wanted, now you’ve got another way to survive—and another way to be great.
Start on the Tee, Flips, Machine- Live Arm

This is why I like the Step-Back Drill for hitters who need to feel a better load.
As he steps back, watch what happens to the front hip.
He gets a better load into the back side without just pushing his body forward.
Then from that position, he can unwind into the swing instead of pushing through the ball.
That’s the goal.
A better load.
A cleaner unwind.
Less push.
Try it.
It may help.
If it doesn’t, don’t use it.
If you don’t like it… you don’t have to comment. 😂
But if you love it, let me know.

FIRE US UP 🔥
A three-run homer by Eddie Micheletti Jr. puts us up 5-2 in the 6th!
Dwight Gooden’s radar gun said 95 MPH.
Mason Miller’s says 103 MPH.
I synced both clips to release and again when the ball hits the catcher’s glove.
It’s going to be hard to convince me that Doc Gooden was only throwing 95 here.
Different era. Different radar technology. But visually? That baseball is getting there in a hurry.
95 vs. 103… you tell me. 👀🔥

Eddie Micheletti Jr. hits a 2-run home run to cut the deficit to five runs!
EVERY HITTER HAS TILT. As being discussed to my 14 year old hitter today
And you’ll find more and more hitters have some degree of tilt behind vertical.
Yes, there are definitely anomalies. But the majority of hitters have some form of tilt that gives them an advantage over a hitter who has none.
Some more. Some less.
How much? Comfort + matchup.
Every pitch crosses the zone on a plane.
Different pitcher.
Different pitch plane.
Different amount of tilt.
I’ve watched hitters adjust their tilt depending on who’s on the mound.
Why?
Because it’s a lot easier to MATCH a pitch plane than try to INTERSECT it at one tiny point.
The goal isn’t one perfect posture.
COACHING TAKEAWAY:
Don’t automatically coach tilt out of a hitter because it looks like “leaning back.”
Find the tilt that gives THEIR barrel the best chance to match THAT pitch.

Where I think terminology gets confusing in hitting is that coaches sometimes call everything a “constraint.” 😂
A lot of what baseball has always called drills, rules, challenges, adjustments, or setups now gets labeled constraints. The concept is useful; the word just became popular.
SWINGING WITH YOUR HEAD? MISSING UNDER? BEFORE YOU CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE SWING, CHECK YOUR HEAD. IT COULD BE THAT SIMPLE!
If you’re consistently missing under the ball, your head position may be influencing your swing.
Here’s a simple teaching point from a session.
Watch what happens when the head tilts toward the shoulder—the hands naturally want to drop with it. That can make it much easier for the barrel to work underneath the ball too early.
It’s an easy thing hitters can check on their own video:
At contact, are you seeing more of the SIDE of your head or the TOP of your head?
More ear toward the shoulder can encourage the hands and barrel to work underneath.
Instead, think more chin toward the chest—more of a subtle “YES” movement rather than tilting sideways toward the shoulder.
This isn’t about freezing the head. It’s about recognizing how one small movement can affect everything underneath it.
Before you start changing your whole swing because you’re consistently missing under…
Check your head.
