Cells do not usually change state at a single fixed time.
How can we compare these distributions across conditions?

We view cell-state transition as analogous to system failure & argue that kinetics are a phenotype.
The model separates four features: onset delay, timescale, shape, and competent fraction.
We apply it to pluripotency exit, directed differentiation, and reprogramming.
