Come hang out with me, @dkundel, @cszhu, @ianlivingstone, and @andrewqu to talk about building for and with agents 🤖
API providers are (correctly) very interested in how well coding agents understand and implement their API. I'll compare search via MCP vs. agent skills.
On April 2, we're teaming up with @KeycardLabs, @OpenAI, @vercel, and @Google for AX Night.
Join us in SF for live demos and Q&A on everything your API needs for agents to integrate successfully. MCP (code mode), agent skills, CLIs, and more.

Replying to @fatihguner @WiroAI
aslinda @WiroAI olsam @StainlessAPI kullanirdim. MCP, her dilde SDK ve CLI yaratiyor otomatik olarak ve guncel tutuyor.
biz Beeper'da kullaniyoruz, hem OpenAI hem Antropic SDK'lerini onlar generate ediyor.
ekibi cok iyi, birlikte calismasi keyifli.

The way most MCP servers work is broken.
You expose 200 endpoints as 200 tools. The agent burns 100K tokens just reading tool definitions. Then it makes 15 sequential calls to do something that should take one.
We just shipped Code Mode on the @dodopayments MCP server.
> 2 tools. Search + Execute.
The agent searches our docs to understand the API, then writes TypeScript against our SDK. Code runs in an isolated sandbox. One script handles the entire workflow.
> 100K tokens -> ~1K tokens
> 15 round trips -> 1 execution
> API keys in prompts -> server-side injection
Shoutout to @StainlessAPI for making this possible.
If you're building MCP servers and still exposing one tool per endpoint, you're doing it wrong.

Another chance to play with my Ted Lasso API :) ⚽️

I generated a CLI for the 🎵 Spotify API using Stainless.
Pretty dope how many formats like this TUI explorer are available out of the box.

We have added more than $1B of ARR in the last month just from our API business.
People think of us mostly as ChatGPT, but the API team is doing amazing work!

I did a lot of the docs migration to Stainless and it was really lovely. Stainless is great.
In just a couple of weeks, @Letta_AI migrated their Python + TypeScript SDKs and their docs site to Stainless.
They were able to fix:
- snake case to camel case bugs
- collision types
- broken docs snippets
- manual pagination

Published a new edition of my infrequent newsletter on joining Stainless, some memories of Alex and API docs from the Stripe days, and (??) going to see Komodo dragons on Rinca.

We had to completely re-architect the library in order to pull this off.
Taking inspiration from playwright, we used an internal RPC interface for all the core behavior, then wrapped our battle-tested, high-performance typescript core in @StainlessAPI clients for each language.

New: OpenAPI spec transforms are now public and fully documented ✨
Transforms let you patch an OpenAPI spec during SDK generation. Perfect for when you don't own the spec or need quick fixes before updating the source 🧵

Fantastic platform for SDKs and now docs.

Went to an “Agentic Product Engineering” panel last week in NYC with teams from @clay, @warpdotdev, @diabrowser & @StainlessAPI .
Very good insights. A few takeaways on where agentic products are actually at 👇

Like most popular framework stories, FastAPI started as a personal side project.
Now it's one of the fastest-growing frameworks in Python history, powering everything from Netflix to the James Webb Space Telescope.
Sebastián Ramírez (@tiangolo) tells the story of how FastAPI was born -- and you can watch it now 🤗

PDF Vector is getting some momentum but we only have the TypeScript SDK right now.
I want to add more SDKs like Python, Ruby, Go, etc., to improve the DX, but have no time or experience with these languages.
Then, I found @StainlessAPI which automates the whole thing for me. 🤯
