The Randy Orton Wrestlemania Patch Auto 1/1 Sells for 42k!

I posted about this on Main Event this morning, but I think there are some things that need to be said about Royalty before running through a brick wall tomorrow on boxes and cases. 1. There is one good hit per box, give or take. Some boxes have a second nice hit, nice relic or B level auto, but for the most part its four big cards per case. This isn't a surprise for people who have ripped Topps stuff in other sports, its the way it works. 2. There is no "case hit" but there will be one NICE name that is from that top pool of hits in each case. 3. Many of the relics above 25 in numbering are event used, but plain. Same as we saw in Universe and other topps products from baseball and UFC. 4. Some of the relics have specific shows called out, others just say event used - step in the right direction. 5. If you are ripping boxes at the price this was built for (750-800) its a good rip. Few people will get it at that price. If you are ripping at 1600+ you are almost guaranteed a kick in the nuts. The product was not built to sustain that level of value consistently. 6. From conversations with @RbiCru7 on the pod, we love the way the cards look, but feel this is a product you must buy by the case, and using breakers to get spots is likely the only avenue that makes sense at this price. Its just too high. We have a lot more to cover this week on Booked to Last (up tomorrow on @StackingSlabs) and next week's show as well. I know all of us will be watching most of the day tomorrow while we work. Going to be a fun launch!
