@krakenfx : 20.000 sats
@binance @HuobiGlobal @kucoincom : 100.000 sats

To learn more about the creation of Bitcoin and its beginnings, “The Book of Satoshi” by @egg_descrambler includes the main public messages posted by Satoshi Nakamoto before he suddenly disappeared. amazon.fr/Book-Satoshi-Colle…
Nodes that add blocks to the chain are rewarded with coins for their work, like “gold miners.” The quantity of bitcoins is limited to a “predetermined number” (21 million), and an additional economic incentive is funded through transaction fees. 9/10
To reach consensus, the network always follows the longest chain, this being the one in which “the greatest proof-of-work effort has been invested.” The system is secure as long as its defenders have “more computing power” than an attacker. 8/10
The linking of a block of transactions to the rest of the chain is achieved via energy expenditure. The block must have a specific cryptographic fingerprint for this, which will be found in the next block. This is “Proof of Work (#PoW).” 7/10
The system solves the double-spending problem “by using a peer-to-peer distributed timestamp server.” Transactions are assembled within dated blocks, added one after the other, “thus forming a chain”—the blockchain. 6/10
Transfers take place between public keys (or addresses), so “the public can see that someone is sending an amount to someone else.” However, “confidentiality can still be maintained [...] by keeping public keys anonymous.” 5/10
From a technical standpoint, transactions are based on the cryptographic process of digital signatures. A user transfers funds by signing a transaction using a private key, information that is kept secret and guarantees ownership. 4/10
#Bitcoin is based on a distributed network and provides a solution to the problem of internet payments. But it is much more than a payment system: it is a unique digital currency, following a specific issuance policy. 3/10
In this nine-page-long document, #SatoshiNakamoto presents #Bitcoin as “a peer-to-peer electronic cash system” that “allows online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.” 2/10
🎂14 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto published the #Bitcoin whitepaper. This document laid the foundations for a monetary revolution.
@KonsensusN and @StackinSat have prepared this thread which summarizes what to remember from this masterpiece of engineering 🧵👇1/10
