This morning, more than 1,000 New Yorkers came together for the first City-sponsored Remembrance Ruck, walking from Brooklyn to Manhattan to honor our veterans. It was an experience I will carry with me forever. Too many veterans come home to isolation, food insecurity, homelessness, and struggles with their mental health. Together, we must serve those who have served our country by delivering a life of dignity to veterans across the five boroughs.
