Father’s Day hits different when you look at where the story started. From two people celebrating the possibility of a little girl… to me holding her hand and realising she has completely changed what “success” means. The gym builds strength. Bitcoin builds freedom. Work builds a future. But fatherhood gives all of it a purpose. One day that tiny hand won’t need mine to cross the road. Until then, I’m going to be present for every walk, every laugh, every lesson and every ordinary moment I’ll eventually wish I could have back. My greatest responsibility. My greatest blessing. It feels like it was only yesterday that I was standing there, overwhelmed with emotion, cutting your umbilical cord and holding you for the very first time. And today… I’m sitting here assembling your first bike. 🥹 Everyone tells you how quickly they grow up, but you never truly understand it until it’s your own little girl growing right in front of your eyes. One day I was carrying you home in my arms. Now I’m getting ready to watch you ride away on two wheels. Time, please slow down. I’m not ready for these moments to become memories just yet. Watching you grow is the greatest privilege of my life, baby girl. From cutting the cord to building your first bike… and every little milestone still to come. Dad will be right there for all of it. ❤️

There is no amount of money, status or success that could replace moments like this. Walking beside my baby girl, watching her take in the world… this is winning. You can chase wealth your entire life, but some things are simply priceless. No riches could ever buy this moment back once it has passed. Blessed beyond words. Grateful to be present. Grateful for the ordinary days that I know one day I’ll desperately wish I could relive. She may not remember every one of these walks. Some Bitcoiners have accidentally turned self-custody into a purity test. If your setup needs three hardware wallets, geographically distributed backups, inheritance logic, a dedicated node and a 40-page recovery guide just to feel “secure,” we’ve probably lost the plot. That level of protection can make sense for some people. It should not be the baseline for everyone. For mass adoption, self-custody has to be simple enough that an average person can understand it, use it correctly, and recover from mistakes without needing to become an operational security expert. A strong single-sig setup with properly generated keys, passphrase and sensible backups can be perfectly reasonable for many users. More complexity can reduce some risks while introducing completely new ones. There is no medal for having the most complicated wallet setup. The best custody solution is the one you actually understand, can maintain, and can recover. Bitcoin gives us choice. Stop turning one custody model into a religion.

Today I heard two absurd statements from two separate people. 1️⃣ “Lifting weights is useless. It puts too much stress on your muscles and bones, damages your skin, and brisk walking is better.” This came from someone in his early 30s. I had to tell them respectfully, that this thought is just fear dressed up as wisdom. Strength training does not destroy the body when performed correctly. It builds muscle, strengthens bones, improves mobility, supports metabolism, and prepares you for the physical demands of ageing. Brisk walking is excellent. But walking and lifting serve different purposes. One improves cardiovascular health. The other helps ensure you remain strong enough to carry groceries, climb stairs, protect your joints, maintain independence, and avoid becoming physically fragile later in life. Your body does not deteriorate because you challenge it intelligently. It deteriorates when you stop giving it a reason to adapt. 2️⃣ “Bitcoin is a bubble. It has no tangible value because I cannot see or hold it. The price has been falling, so I would rather buy real estate.” I told them that they cannot physically hold the internet, software, intellectual property, or a bank balance either. Value does not require physical form. Bitcoin is globally transferable, highly divisible, portable, verifiable, scarce, and can be held without relying on a bank, tenant, property manager, or government registry. Real estate can be valuable, but it is not automatically superior. Property is illiquid. It requires maintenance. It attracts taxes, insurance, legal costs, and ongoing expenses. It cannot be moved. It can be damaged. It can be regulated. It can be seized. It usually requires significant debt and permission from financial institutions. Bitcoin can cross borders in minutes and be secured with information held in your mind. Real estate gives you exposure to one physical location. Bitcoin gives you ownership of a scarce global asset that operates 24/7. Price going down does not automatically mean the asset is broken. Sometimes it simply reveals who understands volatility and who only understands comfort. Two conversations. Two reminders. People often reject strength because effort feels uncomfortable. And they reject Bitcoin because sovereignty feels unfamiliar. Build muscle. Study Bitcoin. Question inherited assumptions. Stack sats. Build strength. Own your life.
