Next stop: Australia! From NYC to the Land Down Under…..two friends, two incredible races Kangaroo island and Sydney, a couple of 5ks and one amazing adventure. Proud and excited to represent @CSARunsAs1 @FollowCSA CSA Runs As 1 every mile of the way! Adelaide ➡️ Kangaroo Island ➡️ Sydney Let the adventure begin! @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA @owe_csa

Last Sunday, I ran the @nyrr Team Championships with @CSARunsAs1 @FollowCSA and @owe_csa a race built around representing your team. As a former principal, I know the lessons well …Our strength is in how we lift one another. @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA

As @FollowCSA @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 and school leaders, we are always reminding others to take care of their emotional intelligence. This week in Ireland, I was reminded that we have to take care of our own first. So Wednesday morning at 5:30 a.m., I ran along the quiet roads of Galway while the world was still asleep. Cows, sheep, horses, the cool morning air, and the breathtaking beauty of Galway Bay were exactly what I needed. The highlight? Taking two cold plunges into Galway Bay…..one in the middle of my run and another at the finish. It reminded me that before we lead others well, we have to reconnect with ourselves. For me, that sequence looked like this: Run.
Water. Run. Water.
Solitude Reflection.
Conversation. Not the other way around. When we are constantly making decisions, solving problems, and carrying the weight of leadership, unplugging isn’t a luxury…..it is part of leading well. Ireland reminded me of that. @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA

Ran the @nyrr @nyrrnews women mini 10K in Central Park last weekend with my friends and colleagues @CSARunsAs1 @owe_csa @HermandadDeSIA @FollowCSA and the heat was no joke…but we finished. As school leaders we know that Some days it’s not about the pace, it’s about the grit, the discipline, and the decision to keep going. @hrubio

Spent the weekend learning alongside powerful leaders at @NYSALAS an organization committed to elevating Latino leadership and expanding opportunity across New York State. Proud to connect, and grow with @SAANYS @FollowCSA @NYSALAS @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 colleagues . We lead with purpose. We build what’s next. @hrubio @SecCardona @Cyn518

13.1 miles through Central Park a week ago @nyrr Maybelline Women’s Half. Hills were rude, legs were questioning everything, but I finished with the support of my colleagues @CSARunsAs1 @FollowCSA @owe_csa.

Grateful for a powerful weekend with my @HermandadDeSIA Hermanas….some traveling from as far as Oregon to reflect, reconnect, and grow together. Through every conversation and question, our purpose was clear: sisterhood, leadership, and lifelong empowerment. This is what SIA stands for. 💙💛❤️ @FollowCSA @hrubio @CSARunsAs1 @owe_csa

I ran @nyrr United Airlines NYC Half the other weekend. It was cold, the kind of cold that tests you early. But distance running reminds me of leadership: you don’t wait for perfect conditions. You prepare. You adjust. You keep moving. Thank you to my @FollowCSA @owe_csa and @CSARunsAs1 colleagues for their support and encouragement

This past weekend I spent the day at the MSPA conference surrounded by incredible school leaders from @FollowCSA @CSARunsAs1 and @owe_csa Great workshops, inspiring conversations, and a powerful reminder that leadership is never a solo act. Hearing the student band play was the perfect moment — our work is always about them. And thank you to @PRACTICE_PBC @KarimAbouelnaga for your support. @hrubio

Yesterday I ran with colleagues from @FollowCSA @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 the Al Gordon @nyrr in Brooklyn……Snow on the ground. Fog in the air. Runners showed up anyway. With every mile, you could see runners’ breath rising into the cold morning. And as always the unmistakable voice at the start and finish of @davecugini the voice that holds all together. @nyrr NYC runners are built different. @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA

This morning i ran with my colleagues and friends from @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 and @FollowCSA …As we stood at the start of the Washington Heights @nyrr 5K, the snow began to fall. And it snowed the entire run. Cold air. Wet roads. No excuses. Resilience is built when you move forward anyway. @KristyDeLaCru15 @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA

Happy to have attended the Bronx K-8 @FollowCSA meeting. @hrubio @CSARunsAs1 @HermandadDeSIA @owe_csa

I did it….the full @nyrr @nycmarathon Every mile was a test of strength, heart, and determination. But I crossed that finish line because of the incredible support from my @CSARunsAs1 @owe_csa @FollowCSA and @HermandadDeSIA colleagues and friends who believed in me every step of the way. Thank you!!!!! @hrubio @Topbasmejia
