Just landed in Vegas for @money2020 with @StableNoe and the team 🔥 🇺🇸
It’s the biggest Fintech/Payments conference on the planet. For @TheBigWhale_, being here is a must: this is where you take the pulse of where money is heading.
Day 1, and one debate is everywhere: stablecoins vs tokenized deposits.
Both promise programmable, instant, 24/7 money. The models behind them are very different:
👉 Stablecoins: open, issued by non-banks, already operating at scale.
👉 Tokenized deposits: bank money on-chain, backed by regulated balance sheets, built for institutions.
Will one win, or will they coexist? Who ends up controlling the rails? Watching banks, card networks and fintechs pick sides in real time is fascinating.
We’ll be digging into this until Wednesday, starting tomorrow morning at our private event with @Mastercard, @utila_io, @DLA_Piper and @coinspaid: luma.com/tbw_money2020_vegas
In Vegas this week? Let’s meet.
🇺🇸 Just landed in Las Vegas for Money20/20, and our next Corporate Breakfast takes place here on Monday, October 19th.
Look at what our latest private events have in common: agentic finance this summer, cross-border payments and treasury last month, stablecoins and tokenized deposits a few weeks ago.
Three rooms, three different audiences, and one conclusion: payments are where digital assets meet institutional reality.
Now at Money20/20, the biggest fintech and payments conference in the world, it's exactly where this debate peaks. On Monday, we tackle it with @Mastercard, @DLA_Piper, @utila_io and @coinspaid.
Between them, they cover the network, the legal framework, the infrastructure and the market. Because the path to integrating stablecoins and digital assets into payments is far from straightforward.
Tech providers, regulation, strategy: each layer comes with its own trade-offs, and the real answers are in rooms like this one.
If these are your questions too, and you want a seat before the room closes, shoot me a message! ☕️

🇨🇭 Tokenization: a new financial system, or just a faster version of the old one?
At @TheBigWhale_, for our Geneva Summit, we made a deliberate choice: very few panels, only on the topics that matter most to the financial institutions and multinationals in the room, and only with global leaders.
The rest of the two days is built around private meetings, interactive sessions and targeted networking.
Tokenization earns its place on that short list. It sits at the center of where this industry is heading, and the debate will be led by:
- Emma Pecenicic, Head of Digital Assets at @Fidelity
- Theo Golden, Head of Tokenized Product at @Broadridge
- Emilio Anting, VP of Digital Assets Partnerships at @FTDA_US
All of it in one of Geneva's most prestigious hotels, privatized for two days, with 300 executives leading digital assets initiatives in the room.
We're now one month out and seats are going fast: if you want to be there for this conversation, send me a message as soon as possible.

Two days in a Geneva palace with the banks, asset managers and infrastructure players shaping the next phase of digital finance. It’s a closed room built for real conversations, not stage talks.

Flowdesk brings the liquidity and market-making infrastructure that institutions need to make that move.
Guilhem Chaumont, Co-founder & CEO, will host a one-hour interactive session with attendees on on-chain markets and where liquidity actually sits.
Nov 12–13, Geneva 💫
🇨🇭 Geneva, 12-13 November: @Ripple joins the Geneva Summit as a Silver partner.
Treasury, stablecoin payments, custody, prime brokerage. In 2025, Ripple announced four acquisitions to cover each of them: GTreasury, Rail, Palisade, Inc and Hidden Road.
With that stack under one roof, the question shifts: it is no longer where the infrastructure comes from, it is what turns a proof of concept into a live product, what still blocks institutions on the way, and how to remove those blockers.
Few companies are better placed to answer than one that operates across all of these verticals, and that's exactly why Ripple will lead a closed-door session on what separates a successful pilot from a stalled one.
Over these two days, 300 top executives leading digital assets at non-crypto firms will gather at one of Switzerland's most prestigious hotels: no press, no recordings, Chatham House Rule.

🇮🇹 Yesterday marked our first private event in Milan, and one message came through loud and clear: the first blocker for banks offering digital assets isn't regulation. It's strategy.
With Boerse Stuttgart Digital and @trmlabs, we hosted an interactive session where speakers and audience went straight to the point:
What are banks still missing to offer digital assets to their clients, and what's really holding them back?
1. Many institutions still haven't decided which service to launch first, or for which clients.
2. Compliance, often called the elephant in the room, can actually become a competitive advantage with the right partners.
3. Demand is higher than most think: around 35% of bank customers say they'd switch banks for an integrated traditional and digital offer, according to BSD's survey.
The networking was just as strong, with many great conversations with Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Sella, UniCredit and many other financial institutions.
🇨🇭 What's next on @TheBigWhale_'s calendar?

.@Spiko_finance is probably one of the best examples of what blockchain can achieve in finance.
Congrats to @pahyppolite and the whole team on their $90M Series B!
We first met Paul-Adrien over coffee, before Spiko even launched in Paris, and we've followed the project ever since. Many people in @TheBigWhale_ community, investors and users alike, got interested in Spiko from day one.
Paul-Adrien has joined us twice on stage at our Corporate Breakfasts in Paris 🇫🇷 , most recently in April (photo), where he explained the model to a room of bankers and asset managers.
The idea is simple. Not speculation, and not Bitcoin vs. the banks. Just cash that's available 24/7 and earns more, on public blockchains.
Full disclosure: TBW is a client. Part of our treasury sits in Spiko's tokenized money market fund, and it does better for us than the traditional setup. And we are really happy!
Close to $3B held, 10,000+ clients, $10B+ moved in and out in two years. That should be a wake-up call for every bank and asset manager that watched digital assets from a distance, fixated on Bitcoin, while the real use cases were being built next door.
There are many more like this one such as @Morpho. Tracking them, and bringing the people behind them together at our events across Europe (Paris, London, Geneva, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, NYC, Abu Dhabi...), is what we do at The Big Whale.
What's next: an interview with Paul-Adrien in our research, and a conversation with the Spiko team at the Geneva Summit on November 12–13 🇨🇭 luma.com/tbw-summit
Bravo, and well deserved 🥂
🇨🇭 Three hundred decision-makers from Europe's banks and asset managers.
@dfnsHQ is a proud premier sponsor of the Geneva Summit 2026 by @TheBigWhale_, November 12 to 13 at the Hotel President Wilson.
Why Geneva? Because it's the capital of the private banking world, managing $2.4 trillion in wealth and now moving onchain.
Why The Big Whale? Because it's the strategic intelligence partner to over 150 financial institutions and their summit is becoming a central event for the people who make decisions in the digital asset world.
Heads of digital assets, CTOs, CROs, treasurers, heads of custody, regulators, head of payments, and other executives from J.P. Morgan, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, Pictet Group, Julius Baer, BlackRock, Amundi, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Banking Authority (EBA), and more.
Every programme partner leads a session in its field: @FranklnTempletn @caissedesdepots @krakenfx, @Ripple @trmlabs @PythNetwork @Flowdesk_co @enzymefinance and @dfnsHQ.
Our CEO Clarisse Hagège leads the workshop "𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯-𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦, 𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵?" We hear a version of that question in every bank we meet. But banks didn't build the internet to launch online banking, and they shouldn't build blockchains to launch onchain products. What they must own is the operating layer on top. Clarisse will make the case and take the pushback in a room allowed to disagree.
The Geneva Summit will discuss regulatory architecture, stablecoin settlement, custody infrastructure, tokenization, AI in finance, and capital strategy.

🇺🇸 A few days ago in Miami we hosted an invitation-only dinner with @PythNetwork, bringing together executives from financial institutions & digital assets firms.
I've been running private events at @TheBigWhale_ for almost a year, and the goal has never changed: a small room, the right people, and a clear reason for each guest to be there.
When that works, people speak openly, conversations go deeper, and introductions turn into real business. We made multiple high-value ones that evening.
One PSP executive said "It might've been the best dinner of my career", while one of our clients told a banking executive "I've never seen people with such an ability to put the exact right people in the same room".
Many of the people shaping this industry were at the table: J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas, Societe Generale, Mastercard, LSEG, Worldline, Swift, CIC, etc.
Thanks to Pyth for partnering with us - we're looking forward to hosting more of these!
🇮🇹 Our next private event will take place next week in Milan, with Boerse Stuttgart Digital and @trmlabs, check it out:
