A New Chapter Begins

train-set 4 of the EM1000 type is now finally complete at the NSCR Malanday depot, making a total of 4 out of the 13 sets ordered I wonder how long it’ll take until train-sets 1 and 2 of the EM1100 type arrive at the port and get delivered too, I wanna chase those

Finally got a decent amount of wagons for the D50 to haul I’ve also got plenty of stock for the C54 too, but I still haven’t found the time to mark any of them

Does anyone have clearer photos of 270’s tender ? I know it’s of the larger type but I can’t figure out that’s been attached on top of the tender

First coat of black Though now that I scrutinise it more The chimney doesn’t look straight enough, I might go back and fix it Otherwise, 270 is progressing nicely

Progress has been going smoothly It doesn’t help with how limited photos are, especially of that tear drop shaped dome Once everything’s been sanded I’ll probably give it another once over with red to check the smoothness

So far progressing well Still trying to get the shape right before fully sanding and refining it down I fully shaved off the original smokebox door and used a Nakamura Semitsu smokebox front in its place, it fits well funnily enough, perfect size too

C51-276 ² Recently got my hands on a Micro Ace C51 to be used for a project, just so happened to be C51-276, the same member I finished my Kings Hobby C51 as So before modifying the Micro C51, I decided to pose the two up For those curious I’m turning 276 into 270

The Miyazawa D50 finally arrived I honestly never thought I’d get into Japanese HO, but now there’s 3 locos and a bunch of rolling stock

The 8th and final car of the third NSCR train-set has finally set out for delivery I can’t wait for when the fourth set starts to be delivered too

The second set of motor cars are now headed to the depot The third NSCR commuter train-set is nearly complete All that remains is the second head-car

After ages of sitting in Japan I’m happy these EMUs are finally getting delivered to the depot

Got myself a KTM C62 for a really great price to start my first HO restoration I’ve done many in N before but not HO I’m currently fixing up issues the previous owner left, namely old quick fixes that used double sided tape and really thick rubber glue to hold things together

Got myself a 宮沢 D50, already my second 宮沢 locomotive after the C54 Very happy that older HO models from makers such as 宮沢 exist, because with the prices of 天賞堂 model, while you get high detail, you can barely afford to get into Japanese HO

I didn’t realise that I had already acquired one of each from the original 3 batches of the C55s Glad I’m not modelling post-war, else there’d be way more variations to do

Funny to think these are technically all C55 in different disguises I do plan to redo my 1次形 C55 someday, it’s very rough
