Women and Girls in Sports Week Chloe:I have been dancing since a young girl. It’s an amazing thing to do. Growing up I always strived to play as much sports in as much clubs as I could. It’s made me the person I am today who loves sports and couldn’t imagine a life without it.

Women and Girls in Sport Eve:My main sport is football and I just love how it has so many benefits! It keeps me fit and helps my mental health greatly. If I am stressed, it is a really great escape. I really hope to go onto study PE at University and have a career within sports.

Women and Girls in Sports Amy: I have been playing netball for 7 years and bowing for 13 years. I have represented Scotland for bowling all around the world and this has created some unforgettable memories. I am so grateful for the opportunities sport has given me!

Women and Girls in Sport Lana:My main sports are dance and cheer! I love how I can express myself through dance and the teamwork elements of cheer. I hope to study dance coaching at college and then go on to becoming a dance teacher!

Women and Girls in Sport Kaelah: I have been a dancer since I was 2 years old and 15 years later I can’t imagine my life without it. Throughout school my love for all different sports grew so much more and made me realise I want to continue this and become a PE teacher one day.

I had a lovely afternoon yesterday at the @activestirling1 Women and Girls in sport event as part of the panel. We chatted about the power of sport and how it can positively impact our lives. Well done to the young ambassadors for asking the panel questions!

Kaelah and Eve had a great time recognising the barriers we have faced within sport. We have now learnt ways to overcome these barriers and how to grown the uptake of girls in sports within St Modans!
