Alright, if we’re all in…
The likes of JUH, Bobby Hill, Knevitt Husthwaite, Blanck, Ramsden, Murphy & Stevens, Lord, Williams need examination.
Hope 1-2 to AFL list (+1 FN Cat B) & 1-2 to VFL list
Carroll will go. Should have cut Butler & Byrnes to free up more spots, really.
Suddenly, everything is back on the table.
Got to wonder if we’re now going to offer deals to JUH & Bobby Hill.
We’re risking it for the biscuit. Maybe we have to with our 2027 #1 Pick gone.
This is not what I expected.
But…maybe we’re just sick of finishing 11th.
Game on.
RESCUE PACKAGE 🛟
I hope we’re adding the 40+ goals that we couldn’t find in 2026
He’s now our #1 forward based on this past season.
It could backfire, but the contract terms are minimal.
A bold statement of intent or an unnecessary risk?
Time will tell.
Please deliver 📦
St Kilda Football Club intends to add experienced forward Jake Stringer to its playing list ahead of the 2027 season when the AFL’s Delisted Free Agency Period opens on 2 November.

Nick Riewoldt sums it all up best.
It’s only a small outlay for Jake Stringer, but symbolically it feels like (and looks like) the last stand of Ross, SOS & Gubby.
They’re putting all their chips on red.
Hang on to your hats.
Looks like the mild interest has escalated into something more concrete.
Thoughts?
The Saint retweeted
What’s scary.. is the amount of players delisted that would be fringe players at the Saints.. and we’ve got no list spots because we signed up some spuds for no reason before the trade period
The club has mild interest in Jake.
Doing checks atm but my gut feel is no because Mitchito does the same role.
I’d prefer Jamarra because it’s all upside.
Stupidly optimistic, but he + Max together fit (100-1 but worth a try) would actually solve our *entire* structural issue
No to SOS forward.
But there are possibilities.
Brady Wright - still there at #41?
Unlikely. Big fan. 22yo & ready.
Jamarra? I know, I know
But he wants to be in Melb. Finished his VFL year with bags of 5.1 & 4.0.
Some risk but we are now *beyond* desperate - a risk I’d take.
Always liked Ramsden, could absorb some of Marshall/Keeler role.
Did like his 2025 VFL Finals series, kicking 8 goals in three games (inc. 4 v Southport), plus bags of 3 & 4 in the weeks before.
Maybe not tall enough (203cm) to be a #1 ruck but as ruck-fwd back up, worth a look
Replying to @StKFootball
yall should pick up Ramsden, we just delisted him and would be good fwd/ruck depth
Truth is that Ross + Lenny believe King will recover and that Sharman, Caminiti & Owens is enough to make finals.
The fanbase might not share the view, but it might explain why we never draft pure big tall forwards.
Tauru & Barrat touted as swingmen but seem natural defenders.
Should St Kilda have been more aggresive with a pursuit of a key forward in this year's trade period?
Kane and Sam discuss 👇

I probably shouldn’t say this, but Hawthorn were the club I enjoyed working with the most.
They set bold dreams then build real plans and take decisive actions. Super professional. Sam is the best.
Compelling, convincing, consistent.
Will be competing for years because of it.
Far out. This isn’t good from Lenny.
Even if Max was playing, I’d still want us to get another two key forwards - one for the now, one for the future.
Hawthorn are flag favourites and have King, Chol, Dear, Lewis & Gunston. Even let Schubert go.
What is going on down there…😳
Fair question. My tone has changed.
I didn’t agree with the change in direction last year.
I nearly died when Gubby said “We’ve got lots of cash” - we immediately lost all bargaining power, pissed off existing players.
That comment was so naive. We looked so out of touch.

What has happened to change your tone, Mr. Saint? Keen to understand your perspective.
We had a player who loved St Kilda and who we desperately needed - Ben King - but we couldn’t financially compete for him because we overpaid on other deals (TDK + Phillipou + Flanders + Macrae = $4.5m).
We didn’t even make an offer this year. Why? Because we couldn’t afford it.
