St. James All Grade

After a long pause, we're back!

We’re closed today because of the stormy weather and bad road conditions! ❄️❄️❄️ Today’s challenge from Ms. Conway: write something! A story or poem, a letter to a friend, or a card telling someone how much you appreciate them. Get your thoughts flowing! 📝

Due to the impending bad weather, we’ll be closed all day. Stay cosy! ❄️❄️❄️ Ms. Conway challenges you to read a chapter or two of a good book! 📚

In honour of Remembrance Day, our students pinned poppies, painted rocks and observed a moment of silence at the Memorial in Lark Harbour to honour those who fought, those who kept peace and those who fell. We will remember them.

Our grade 3/4 students have been learning something pretty awesome: how to play the violin! Ms. Jacobsen & her class would like to send a giant THANK YOU to Gary Bennett Music in Corner Brook for generously donating new strings for these fiddles. Much appreciated! 🎻🧡 @NLESDCA

Unseasonably warm for October! It was simply too nice outside to sit in the classroom and read, so we borrowed the kindergarten outdoor space. ❤️📚#BannedBooksWeek #fortheloveofreading

Welcome back, SJAG! It was so wonderful to see everyone today, and great to meet our new students. Best of luck for a wonderful year! 🍀

Good luck to our cross-country runners this afternoon at the Western Qualifiers! 🏃🏻‍♂️🌟🏃🏻‍♀️ @schoolsportsnl @NLESDCA

Good morning! Curriculum night is this evening from 5:00-6:30, see you at school!

Welcome back everyone! See you soon! 📚 ✏️ 💻

Sending a special thank you to @xperienceqalipu for facilitating excellent sessions with our students last week! Everyone in our 5/6 class contributed to the process of making this beautiful talking stick. They’re so proud of it! @NLESDCA

Congratulations to our sweet little kindergarten friends! Today is a big one, they’re celebrating a successful first year at St. James All Grade! Everyone at school is so proud of them. ⭐️📚🌈 @NLESDCA

We’re so proud of our grads! All the best to the Class of 2019 from the students and staff of St. James All Grade! 🎓⭐️📚 #ClassOf2019 @NLESDCA

We had a special guest visit our class for a show-and-tell activity! Baby brothers are pretty cool. They give you lots to talk about, that’s for sure.

Closed for the morning, update at 11!

Batten yer hatches! Due to the hurricane force winds and forecasted squalls, it’s not fit to be out. School is closed for the day. Stay inside and gather some flashlights in case the power goes out. See you tomorrow, students!

It’s World Autism Awareness Day & our 5/6 class wanted to share these photos. We’re learning a lot, wearing our shades & celebrating our classmate Jada and our other little buddies at SJAG who have autism today! Hey @AutismSocietyNL, can we get a retweet? 😎 #BeCoolForAutism
