How are students #evertoexcel if their degrees are not taken seriously by universities? Gender studies is more than a maketing ploy for the @Athena_SWAN pledge, its the livelihood of many studrnts.

“When universities flaunt diversity awards, but act against the commitments present in these awards, we should denounce them.”

I just signed this open letter in defense of Dr. Alison Duncan Kerr's position at @univofstandrews. Alison has single-handedly created the St. Andrews Institute for Gender Studies & made a huge difference for philosophy (and beyond) in St. A. She deserves better! #StAndWithAlison

I warmly encourage @uniofstandrews to reconsider this choice. It is already perceived, rightly or wrongly, as a conservative university for the privileged few. Taking away diversity and inclusion will send out a very negative message and undermine all the good work done.
