Željezničar finished 6th place in the league last season and reached the quarter-finals of the cup, with Alić contributing to 6G 4A in 37 games domestically. ⚽️🅰️ Alić is a bombing full-back and will constantly make both overlapping and underlapping runs beyond the winger in front of him. His timing of these runs is a massive standout for me, he seems to know exactly when to slow down to remain available for the pass and onside. I could definitely see his attacking ability being a favourite among St. Johnstone fans. He seems really good at defending in 1v1 situations against wingers, he reads the movement of the ball well and times his challenges to match. ⚔️ The one thing that caught my eye was that he can get himself caught out positionally. He can lose track of the defensive line at times and end up creating gaps for the opposition to expose.
