The gaunt ruins of Fast Castle, clinging grimly to cliffs overlooking the North Sea north-west of St Abbs in the Scottish Borders. A castle was first recorded here in 1333, though the site may have been fortified for centuries by then. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/c…

Found this lovely Paddyfield Warbler at Mire Loch, St Abbs Head, Borders this afternoon - was present until dusk and roosted in the bullrushes by the boathouse. Nice to hear it call too, a tack with a hint of a chack. Bring on the autumn!
