When the system you live under says it is “justified” for the police to murder a one-year-old baby it means it is time for a new system that serves and protects the people instead of profits.
"Why won't Americans protest like that...."
We do. Y'all may have short attention spans, but i don't. Black and Brown folk be fighting for their liberty and the police will throw everything back at them. The question is why won't YOU fight?

BREAKING🚨 A Michigan nurse lost her job and now faces up to a year in federal prison because a patient with a bloodied face walked out of the hospital before ICE could take him.
Chloe Freeman, a registered nurse at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital, is charged with "instigating or assisting escape," which carries up to a year in prison. She has pleaded not guilty. She goes back to federal court in Detroit on October 20.
On May 28, Border Patrol agents went after a Mexican man in Ann Arbor. The agents say he ran, tripped over a curb and hit his face on the pavement. He was bleeding from the head when they brought him to the hospital, where staff saw in his paperwork that he was in ICE custody.
After his CT scan, the FBI says Freeman took out his IV and walked him to the ambulance bay. Security footage shows him going out the doors with his face bandaged and bloody. Nobody has found him since.
When the hospital questioned her in June, Freeman said she disagreed with ICE "separating people from their families." She said that with injuries like his, he "could have died." She also said no agents were in the room during the scan, so she didn't believe he was in custody at that point. Even the prosecutors' own announcement says agents stayed with him only until he was moved to imaging.
Trinity Health fired her. She has since moved away.
Shahad Atiya, an immigration attorney and law professor, said she has never seen this charge used in immigration cases, as Ruta Ulcinaite first reported in WXYZ Detroit (ABC 7). She expects it to become "a new set of charges" aimed at anyone who helps immigrants.
Prosecutors charged a misdemeanor, not a felony. That means no grand jury ever had to approve the case. Grand juries in Los Angeles and Chicago have refused to indict anti-ICE protesters on felony charges.
A petition calling for the charge to be dropped warns it tells healthcare workers that "showing compassion for a patient could cost them their freedom and their career." Nurses and hospital workers are being asked to show up at the Detroit courthouse on October 20 in their scrubs and lab coats.

This is not "keeping politics out of music." If he wanted to do that he just would have played the show and not said anything. This is a political message designed to suppress a certain kind of speech he disagrees with.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called out artists who turn their concerts into political rallies, saying:
“Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their BULLSH*T.”
Do you agree with James? Should musicians keep politics out of concerts, or should artists use the stage to speak about what they believe in?
Let’s debate. What do you think?
#Metallica #JamesHetfield #HeavyMetal #Metal #ThisDayInMetal
So they don't play One or Master of Puppets anymore right?
They stopped playing anything from ...And Justice For All? Right?
Maybe just skip their entire early discography when playing, right?
Cause they wouldn't want to be political (anymore).
Metallica has a radical message for an America exhausted by celebrity politics: shut up and play the damn music. newsweek.com/metallica-james…
Extroverts will treat you like a child and then get mad at you as if you made them do that.
I dislike introverts who need to be told everything multiple times when in a group setting. You have to keep offering them food, try hard to engage them and check on them to ensure they are ok. They will just sit quietly in a corner and you will never know if they are ok or not, or if they are upset or need care. I hate doing that labour for them.
Like dude you can talk, you are normal! You are an adult, not a child. Please emote, talk and let others know what you want or don't want. Be a part of what's going on and don't kill the vibe by just disconnecting with who's around you.
Sincerely, an extrovert who always puts that effort.
You actually don't have to do any of this. If there is something I need or if I have an issue I will just take care of it or say something.
We are full ass adults, not children.
Sincerely, an introvert

wish nonamericans realized when they make jokes about school shootings they aren’t laughing at ignorant americans and their silly laws they are laughing at dead children brutally murdered
Thinks they're making some point about the government but really just outing their children for not caring enough about elections to update their voting information.
Oh look, yet another Colorado election where I receive both my son’s ballots. Problem is they haven’t lived with me for more than 5 years. Additionally, my oldest son has lived in a different country for the past 4 years. “Gold standard “ “safe and secure “ we are told. If election security is this incorrect for me how much fraud is in the larger system.

What we’re NOT gonna do is talk shit about Mike Flanagan. The man who gave us what I consider to be one of the best shows ever written, directed, filmed, acted, scored. And that’s Midnight Mass.

watching zionists melt down over this statement which plainly lists statistics about the scale of israel's genocide in gaza is confusing. if you don't want people to state how many kids you're killing, then stop killing kids
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
