The economics of origination have changed.
I spent time with @jeffedelstein talking how Prediction Markets have changed the economics for originators.
Great insight on the business of B2C sports products from @capjack2000, who knows more about that than just about anyone.
Prediction markets have upset the sports info market, as @adamlevitan and @EstablishTheRun take their props private and @RufusPeabody walls up his CFB index, w/ @SquirrelSigma and @capjack2000 with the color on this one ... ingame.com/prediction-market…
Following this @railway security incident all day.
Now come the clickbait posts repeating the same thing we already know.
I've also learned a ton of interesting of trivia about actual trains and railways. Keepin' it fun, cool cool.
My 7th-grader asked me if there was a book series I read at his age that I could recommend.
Pulled this banger off the shelf and told him this series will keep him busy for months.
Good vs Evil, the value of friendships, great lore.
Nerd heaven.
I'll take "Things That Americans Do Instead of Reading" for $500, Alex.
...Eaten a gas station hot dog
...Run a red light
...Binge-watched Love Island
...Paid for a gym membership they never used
Americans were more likely to have read a book than listen to NPR use lazy constructs as clickbait🙄
Americans are more likely to have placed a bet in the past year than to have read a book

The success of Prediction Markets is directly related to the introduction and rapid evolution of AI-assisted coding and modelling capabilities.
With broad public access to superintelligence, there is no democratization of risk-taking.
Everyone can compete. Everyone.
A alternate learning track you won't see at @G2Eshows this year: "Prediction Markets: Understanding Why So Many of Your Customers Want to Use Them"
Sessions include:
- 'Perhaps Asking PM Customers What THEY Think and What THEY like about the Product, Which Would Help Explain Why $FLUT and $DKNG Valuations are Getting Taken to the Woodshed'
- 'Odds are Just Probabilities - Learning How Sports Markets Actually Function'
- 'It's Not Me, It's You - How to Not Alienate OSB Customers Through Egregious Stake Factoring and Withdrawal Friction'
- 'Your Customers Are Not Stupid, They Actually Understand Risk, and Do Not Care About Your Definition of Gambling vs Investing - There's Plenty for Everyone, Because These are Different Products'
A dispatch from myself and @butlerbetstrade from G2E, which might be the biggest prediction market conference yet. It's just a prediction market conference that doesn't like them all that much:

@Covers
I had an uncle who worked at IBM and he'd give me the test versions of all of these DOS-based games for me to play.
Looking back, I understand what a gift that was.
Every one of these games fired from a 5 1/4" floppy and a C: prompt. Two NES games on my list, so many hours.
🤫don’t tell @sharpedgelv that working prices and automating your approach is actually the better way to do this, and you don’t even need to buy picks.
@MathWinsBets it’s fun to watch you do what you do 🫡
My man @MathWinsBets is absolutely crushing it this year on the journey to $100k
He’s one of the founders of SharpMoney and someone who continues to help shape this product every single day.
Now if only he’d stop wasting his time making 2.5% ROI betting and put that money in the stock market he’d be crushing it right?

Watching market makers that use Optic Odds f up the game order in today’s double header and quote the wrong games.
To all my new friends mad about this post, go yell at @PickTheOdd

ALERT: Be careful today on the BAL@NYY double header on exchanges. There is 2 different reports out both from the MLB.COM source which is causing confusion. mlb.com/yankees/schedule/202… claims Game 2 is the 9/26/2026 game. While mlb.com/press-release/saturd… claims Game 1 is the 9/26/2026 game. This will cause all types of issues on exchanges. Be careful!
