Today we welcomed a new addition to the City Corporation’s fleet of vehicles.
@FMConwayltd's new Vok XL cargo cycle is now out and about on the City of London's streets, offering an emission-free alternative to using vans.
The four-wheel quadracycle has a 2000 litre space for up to 200kg of weight, which will enable our teams to transport more equipment and materials in an eco-friendly and convenient way, whilst fully compliant with UK cycle lanes.
You may have already seen some of FM Conway's standard cargo bikes working in the City, and this latest addition allows us to transport larger pieces of equipment, ultimately replacing the capacity of a small van and helping both the City and FM Conway towards their shared net zero goals.

Overnight closures at @TowerBridge. Between Tuesday 7 and Saturday 11 October 2025 Tower Bridge will be closed to traffic and pedestrians from 10pm to 5am for routine maintenance.
Outside these times the bridge and its award-winning visitor attraction will be open as normal.

Tower Bridge will be closed to traffic between 4am and 2pm on Sunday, 7 September 2025. This is to allow The Big Half Marathon to take place safely.

Tower Bridge and Southwark Bridge will be closed to road traffic on Sunday, 10 August 2025, from 4.30am until 2pm. This is to allow the T100 Triathlon to take place safely.
At @TowerBridge, limited local access to and from Wapping will operate under convoy, for residential and business use only. Tower Bridge’s award-winning visitor attraction will be open as normal.

Update on Taxi Access at Bank Junction : following cttee approval in 2024, the experiment to allow taxi access on Cornhill and Poultry across Bank starts on Monday 28 July.
Due to other planned road closures, this will start with movements from Poultry to Cornhill (eastbound) and then be fully open in October to include movements from Cornhill to Poultry (westbound).
