What if an autobattler had factories instead of a unit shop? You don't place units. You build the production that creates them. Your factory setup decides what your army can become. This is The Factory Must Fall. 💣⚙️

When designing The Factory Must Fall, I wanted it to feel like playing StarCraft, but without the stress. As a dad, I don't have the same time anymore. I wanted the strategy of an RTS, but without making decisions in a few seconds.

Inspired by BAR, I implemented a rock paper scissors system for TFMFs autobattler combat. 🏭⚔️ So your factories can produce Spikes, Vanguards, and Lancers, each with a specific counter: ⚡ Light beats Artillery
💥 Artillery beats Heavy
🛡️ Heavy beats Light

Right now, The Factory Must Fall takes place on a lava planet 🌋 I’m planning to add at least two more biomes. I’m thinking Arctic ❄️ and Jungle 🌴. Any other biomes that I should consider..?

What if unit spam doesn’t work? In The Factory Must Fall you can change your warfare strategy during each shop phase. Because it’s a turn turnbased autobattler the factory building part is much more a relaxed experience. #strategygames

Marketing an indie game is not for the week. My marketing strategy has been called dishonest, the game has been called a rip off from Mindustry.. and I’m just here making a game I love and trying to share that.. 😅😭 More devs experiencing the same thing?

People often say TFMF looks “too similar to Mindustry”.. but the gameplay is completely different.. So TFMF is run‑based: 5–15 rounds, increasing credits, random shop, changing rarities, change strategy every run. Mindustry = sandbox. So no, it’s not the same 😅✌️

A month ago TFMF was featured as part of the Swissgames delegation at Gamescom 👾 It was insane! We met many publishers, insane devs, and had the opportunity to show TFMF to the world. I left with a full heart, and a pocket full of business cards. Excited for what to come! 💣🏭

I finally replaced the old victory screen in The Factory Must Fall. 👀 Still tweaking it, but I think this one feels much better. It’s a small thing, but somehow I’ve already spent way too long on it. 😅
