ALT “We cannot take this anymore, we are exhausted. We go from victims to martyrs as a matter of seconds - we are passing one after another. No one is seeing us, no one is seeing the scale of the crime and catastrophe being committed against us in Gaza. There is no protection - no international protection, no impunity. These vests don’t protect us, these helmets don’t protect us. They are simply symbols that we wear, they do not provide any protection for any journalist at all.”

ALT “We are victims, being victimized live on air. We are losing souls one by one, we become martyrs in the blink of an eye. [It’s as if] we’re all waiting in line to be killed. My colleague Mohamed Abu Hatab was here half an hour ago, and now him, his wife, his son, his brother, and many members of his family are dead here inside the hospital.”
