If the copilot says "hello" (1 message), then answers a simple question using general generative ai (2 messages), and then a question that uses tenant data (30 messages), we're at about 33 cents for the conversation. If this saves a help desk call, this represents huge savings...

The licensing of Copilot is interesting. It costs about 1-30 cents per message to chat with a Copilot agent, for users without Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. Yes, that's a big range, as the cost depends on what the copilot needs to do to answer the question.

The February Power BI feature summary is out, and many of the updated features relate to Copilot. As a reminder, Copilot for Power BI is not included in the Microsoft 365 Copilot license, but is included in Power BI Premium licenses. (which means it's not available to pro users)
