My Dad used to regale me with stories of Rugby Tours to South Africa, touring sides arriving on our shores to take on the best we had to offer. I never thought a full tour would become a reality, dreaming of one day attending and taking my son. This day is now upon us, Rugby's Greatest Rivalry #RGR underway. Feels like we’ve been supporting the @Springboks all over the world – between singing Irishmen, wild Frenchmen, accommodating Scottish fans and suffering Welshmen; between bar-brawling Kiwis, disinterested Aussies, the bowing Japanese and rah England supporters. Now I get to come home again and support the Boks with my people. Shirts bought, bags packed, breath held, we're coming home. Thank you @Springboks for being #ENOUGH Forever a #Safanatic

The moment it was sealed. Feels almost sweeter than 2018. #RSAvAUS Kudos @ProteasMenCSA … that’s some turnaround.

Let’s completely ditch T20 and only play Test Cricket

This is nice, very nice. #RSAvAUS @ProteasMenCSA

Quick

Every time Siyaya gets the ball, I’m thinking he can’t pull of another miracle … then he does, whipping through French D like a couteau de boulanger through fromage à pâte molle. He’s better than Fassi no doubt and perhaps even Quan is getting a bit en sueur. Talent loading …

Beautiful words from @JLyall93 RIP Hyron @LionsRugbyCo

#bledisloe has to be the worst rugby comp - boring and never a contest. Rugby has become so boringly attack orientated that not only is defence optional but the variety that set piece brings is diminished. Without the contrast that the @Springboks bring, rugby might actually die.

When is the @Springboks travelling squad going to be announced?

Am I understanding this correctly that the SA sides have to commit their squads to the Europe pool rounds? If so seems wildly unfair that you cannot adjust based on how your season is progressing in other tournaments. Or is this a ploy to get the Bok glitterati to give a **** about Europe?

Kudos to @VDP_24 for standing up to the cowardly ball dropping incident by Lyon on AB. Some things just need to be said, no matter how many delicate toes curl.

What a lone Europe week does to the SA URC campaigns:

Who is going to rule the SA #URC derby roost and win on Saturday? @URCOfficial_RSA @SharksRugby @THESTORMERS @LionsRugbyCo @BlueBullsRugby #STOvSHA #BULvLIO

Some call it ‘guts’ but probably just that his cardio has suffered since he was forced to give up sandpapering. #RSAvAUS

Rabada is actually hilarious.

Ouch

The quality on show this weekend is obscene. The SA URC teams are fielding rugby players worthy of prime time viewing in any rugby mad country. As much this weekend is mouthwatering, let’s just hope the Bok stocks are unblemished when Nov rolls around.

If I had just one wish, it would be that South Africa hosted more Rugby World Cups from here on out. Too much legacy, support, interest, infrastructure and passion not to be part of the next chapters. @WorldRugby @Springboks
