Sports opinion & banter. Slight Arsenal bias. #COYG 🔴⚪

All real fans want to see this tradition upheld. It's only the basement dwelling virgins that will use it as banter material. In a sport that is sorely lacking in true sportsmanship, the guard of honour is the only true touch of class that still exists. Liverpool fully deserves it, and I hope it will act as motivation for our players to up their game next season.
1998: Liverpool give the Champions Arsenal a guard of honour in their own backyard at Anfield. We did it first. 😉

Surely had they scored from this it would have been disallowed? 🤔 Scandalous that it wasn't called immediately.
Delap: "I'm going to take a throw in, jumping with both feet off the ground, and you're going to say nothing! Oliver: "Go on son!"

My take on the @rioferdy5 and @SaeedTV_ issue, if no one is gonna say it then I will.⬇️

Maybe, just maybe, if the people closest to Saeed, the ones that supposedly care about him, were as brutal towards him as Rio Ferdinand has been, he might not be the same size and weight as the average hatch back in the first place. Just an idea 🤷

There has to be a strict wage cap implemented for each division. A base salary with heavy performance related bonuses will not only save the clubs a shit ton of cash, it will also stop players from signing a bumper new contract then downing tools. On top of this, it will also make players less likely to walk away from say a Bournemouth to join struggling teams like Tottenham purely because they can earn more money, meaning the "lesser" teams will be able to maintain their growth and be more likely to challenge for Europe on a consistent basis.
🚨 English football is facing a MAJOR FINANCIAL CRISIS, with alarming figures raising serious concerns about the sustainability of clubs across the country's top five divisions. 💰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🔸 109 of the 116 clubs (94%) are reportedly operating at a deficit. 🔸 Combined debt could exceed £5 BILLION by the end of the season. 🔸 73 clubs (63%) reportedly couldn't survive more than 90 days without financial support from their owners. 🔸 Around TWO-THIRDS of clubs in the second to fifth tiers are reportedly facing financial difficulties. 🔸 20% of Premier League clubs are claimed to be technically INSOLVENT. Backpedalling like a proper pussy!
🚨 OFFICIAL: Lisandro Martínez releases new statement after meeting with Carrick and club directors. “Today I met with the club’s leadership and the manager. It was a very positive conversation, where we were able to exchange views and speak openly about what happened after the game”. “Everyone knows that I am a passionate person and that I live football with great intensity. The frustration of the defeat led me to express how I felt at a time and place that perhaps were not the right ones, and for that I want to apologise”. “Our club is at its best when we are all united, and I recognise that my words in that moment did not help with that”. “I know that every single person at Manchester United is doing everything possible to achieve our shared ambition: bringing the success that this club and its supporters deserve”. “With this situation now behind us, we are fully focused on winning together”.

Perfectly reasonable response from a position of assured innocence with an irrefutable body of evidence proving their innocence.
🚨JUST IN: Manchester City will likely attempt to DELAY their Appeal Process for as LONG AS POSSIBLE. The Premier League made a rule change this season: Appeals have to be concluded WITHIN 12 WEEKS of being submitted. City’s lawyers can argue this rule DOES NOT APPLY since they were first charged in 2023, BEFORE this new rule was introduced.

Must be because they've been to Wembley 48 times in the last 3 years.
🚨 Manchester City, supposedly the highest-earning club in world football, with revenues even greater than Real Madrid, are STRUGGLING to sell out their Champions League clash against back-to-back winners PSG tonight. 😭 You'd struggle to find another English club that wouldn't sell out its stadium for a European night against opposition of that calibre. Yet somehow, City are having trouble shifting tickets for one of the biggest fixtures of the season. 🤦‍♂️💀

🚨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿It has been revealed that JJ Gabriel & his father made the following demands to Manchester United… • Shirt number 77 • "Gabriel JR" on the back • Train ONLY with the first team • At least 20 guaranteed minutes in three specific matches • A seven-figure annual salary Multiple demands were rejected & the player is expected to leave Manchester United❌

Just one more thing they claim to have invented when in reality they just stole it 😂
Some fella who wrote a book about the history of the Kop was just on radio saying that they took the name from Woolwich Arsenal who originally had an end called the kop….. Well I be damned I didn’t know 🤗

🚨🔙 Pep Guardiola plans to attend Manchester City-PSG on Wednesday next week. He’s set to return at Etihad Stadium for the first time since he left his position as City manager - as @hirstclass reports. “I am with you, I’ll be with you”, Pep said few days ago after PL verdict.
