This may be the one time all season that the youthfulness of the Mystics has betrayed them and it couldn't come at a worse time, namely the opening game of a three-game playoff series.

The best choice to run the WNBA is former Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette McGlade. She is a former player, coach and executive. She could be a great bridge candidate until either Swin Cash or Nneka Ogwumike get more experience as a deputy commissioner.

We now live in a world where Dolly Parton is gone and Agent Orange and Stephen Miller still walk among us. Maybe Billy Joel was right!

So, the first player Mike Elias drafted, the centerpiece of the Orioles' rebuild, gets shipped off and to a longterm division rival, no less. Should he get another chance to rebuild this club? The answer, from here, is a resounding no.

This is brilliant. It encapsulates everything I have been thinking and feeling for years.
Yes, Trump has eclipsed Mitch McConnell as the worst American of my lifetime. So have other monsters Donald has empowered: Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Stephen Miller, etc. But without Addison Mitchell McConnell III, there would be no Donald Trump. Remember this: Mitch fed the cancer. He nurtured the tumor. He prevented the oncologists and surgeons from administering treatment. And knowing he possessed the singular cure, he chose to sit on his hands as the terminal disease ate away at our democracy. That is the sum of his life’s work. That is his ignominious legacy. For shame. gregolear.substack.com/p/mit…

Thoughts on the Fever revoking longtime reporter's credentials, after citing an “inaccurate and unsubstantiated” report about Caitlin Clark’s health?

Tell you what: Whatever Connecticut pays Jamelle Elliott, they'd better shoot her a bonus. She saved Geno Auriemma from getting his butt whipped by Dawn Staley!

I wish I could say I'm surprised by Geno Auriemma's conduct but I've seen that movie for years. He's picked fights with Pat Summit, Muffet McGraw and, now, Dawn Staley, all strong women who give/gave as good as they get/got.

The loss of @kynwalker_24 from the @TerpsWBB roster is massive and the biggest of the offseason. She was the second best perimeter defender and the most athletic point guard on the squad.

Just wondering: Did any reporter at any of the three other regionals ask the coaches or players how they feel about the women’s tournament setup or does Geno Auriemma really speak for the entire sport?

I can't begin to articulate how badly ESPN handles NCAA women's basketball tournament but let me try: Instead of airing more competitive games on ABC, where there are bigger potential audiences, they put South Carolina and Connecticut blowouts there. Then, they bury two great

games, namely UVA-UGA and USC-Clemson -- both of which go to OT -- on ESPN2. Worse yet, with a controversial ending in the USC-Clemson game which screamed for an official's interpretation, they let their expert stay silent. Worldwide Leader, my butt.

In 18 Big Ten games and the two most significant non-conference games (Princeton and Kentucky @TerpsWBB permitted opponents to shoot 36 percent from three-point range. It will be a very brief March NCAA tournament run if that doesn't improve.

Tremendous work from the brilliant Kenny Albert. He described the moment and the result, then shut up and let the pictures tell the tale.

In four decades of covering and watching @TerpsWBB I've seen fewer grittier wins than the one against Ohio State Sunday. A 19-point comeback against a top-10 opponent on the road is vintage stuff. That said, if the three-point defense doesn't improve, the March run will be short

I gotta admit: When the Ravens didn't yank the cord on John Harbaugh yesterday, I thought he would be back. But my guess (and that's all it is) is that Lamar Jackson's lukewarm response to questions about his future and whether he wanted Harbaugh to return probably set off owner

Steve Bisciotti's spider sense. Even so (again a hunch), I wonder if Bisciotti was going to bring Harbaugh back provided he made changes to his coaching staff, changes that Harbaugh didn't want to make, hence the firing. Don't get me wrong; this should have happened three or

It's been a long time since I've seen a play as unselfish as Kyle Van Noy's in handing off his interception to Alohi Gilman.
