๐ค Bringing young people together through #PlusSport !
Last Friday morning, p7 pupils from Edenbrooke Primary School and Holy Cross Boys' Primary School came together at the Norman Whiteside Sports Facility for the first of their PlusSport twinning sessions. ๐ค
Through new sports, fun activities and interactive workshops, the pupils are getting active, building positive relationships and connecting with others from different backgrounds in a welcoming and inclusive environment. ๐๐ป
The wider PlusSport project also invests in young people as leaders. A group of 16โ18-year-olds from Belfast Met have received training and developed new skills, which they are now putting into practice by supporting younger participants. This provides valuable hands-on experience while empowering the next generation to make a positive contribution to their communities.
Delivered by a consortium of Active Communities Network-Belfast, Sport Changes Life, Community Sports Network and PeacePlayers - Northern Ireland, PlusSport is a wider 3 year project across Belfast, that uses the power of sport to bring young people together, encourage positive connections and help build more inclusive communities.
The PlusSport Project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
