What happened to this dude. He was all over my timeline, then nothing since 1st?

Negative R is the way forward if you trade prop firms in particular.

Edge Lab and Market Edge help you solve the market. Prop Passer is how you get paid. Its the tool and third pillar of @tradestar that can either: 1. Take your real entire historic trade data 2. Have data manually input 3. Use a strategy from Edge Lab You can then see complete simulated runs of how likely you are to pass the evaluation and get funded at different risk values, along with a recommendation. This is inside the Prop Firm section, and allows you to test out one or multiple strategies combined, i.e. if you want to experiment with a London mean reversion and a NY breakout for example.

Been out all day today, so missed what has clearly been the best day for a long time in terms of PA. No surprise the timeline is absolutely brimming with people who managed to catch the bottom and exit the top perfectly - lol, yeh right. So for those struggling, remember to take the timeline hype with a pinch of salt, it's mostly sales patter to sell you a discord / course subscription.

Apologies for being so quiet, been working on some new ideas and optimising tradestar. Edge Lab and Market Edge should be noticeably faster now. Edge lab also prioritised top results data and hid some of the other top 20 for speed/resource purposes, now all data is show across all runs. Finally the prop passer in Edge Lab is far more flexible and simplified, so you can easily see if the strategy will work well with your prop rules.

Is price action back to normal gang?

Hopefully after todays FED rate announcement, PA will be back to something like. I suspect whatever happens, its mostly priced in anyways...

A simple free way to boost your win rate is to leverage FTFC (Full Timeframe Continuity). This basically means aligning a HTF, MTF and LTF directionally, if more timeframes align, then you are trading with a stronger direction/trend. Example, you want to take a short, you make sure the 4H, 1H and 15m are all showing bearish. I made a FREE indicator for exactly this - tradingview.com/script/IOqD1… It basically overlays up to 5 different TF candles on the chart, so you can easily see at a glance overall direction.

In Edge Lab, the optimal setup for the Initial Balance on London shows a shallow retracement (25%) and a wider target are optimal. This was todays trade with Edge Lab on London's Initial Balance. Based off the data, not feelings. Settings > direct into the indicator. No lengthy course teaching you about FVGs and banks algos hunting stops, just the facts.

Edge Lab really is a secret weapon. Everyone wants to buy some gurus unproven "trust me bro" strategy, yet Edge Lab gives you the hard stats: ✅ 1000's of simulations to find the most profitable setup ✅ Monte Carlo simulations to then see if it holds up ✅ Out of Sample testing to confirm it holds up on data it hasn't seen ✅ Gives you simulated PnL inc slippage and fees ✅ Gives you expected WR/PF ✅ Lets you put in any prop firm eval settings to see if it will pass ✅ Gives you the exact settings to put into the Tradestar strategy indicators so you can easily trade it. ✅ No $500 course or discord needed.

Currently experimenting with "tuners" basically what Edge Lab but the next iteration. How it works - it looks at your base settings and then tests them (and 1000's of other combinations) against long term (i.e 12 month), mid term (6 month) and short term (1-3 month). It then surfaces which performed well along all 3, as well as indicating whether the edge is decaying or strengthening. Results so far are promising.

What a week, Labour Day, PPI, CPI (tomorrow) and ECB rate hike. Market liquidity isn't thin, but its not clear directionally, so you get chop with impulses. On holiday tomorrow, so missing the CPI anyways, a profitable, albeit weak, week. Only 3 trading days, so can't grumble, profit is profit.

🚨 WARNING 🚨 Expect volatility today, if your trading doesn't thrive in volatile/news conditions, wait until its over.

Today set off well, bit lumpy in the middle, turning to choppy shit now, so closing out with profit in tact.

Trading Twitter is saturated with “gurus.” Almost everyone here understands FVGs, iFVGs, order blocks, and whatever SMC concept is trending this week. The irony is that most of those same people still don’t have a working edge. How can “smart money concepts” be the way to outperform most traders if it’s already what the majority use? Paradoxical much... It sells well though. Journal more. Buy another course. You must be doing the top-down analysis wrong. SMC is subjective by nature. It’s excellent at explaining a move after the fact. That’s not the same as having a trade you can actually replicate. How can you have an edge if you can’t mechanically repeat the setup? So then you buy the Discord. Watch live trading. And still have no consistency. This is why most traders fail. They buy hype. The boring truth is that the edge lives in the data. Simple, mechanical strategies are how you stay consistent. Two choices. Blue pill: keep buying courses and Discords. Stay in the story. Red pill: try Tradestar Pro free for 7 days. Use 5 proven mechanical strategies. Auto-optimise them by ticker, session, and time period. Review the walk-forward and Monte Carlo results. Then copy the settings into the purpose-built indicator. No narrative. Just the version the data actually supports.

As a trader, weekends are mildly annoying. Bank holidays become rage inducing nonsense. I shall therefore load up my screamo playlist and go to the gym today.
