Did anyone watch @DerrenBrown: Showman on telly this week? Take a look at the floor we CNC'd and painted in our workshop for the show. Needless to say, the floor didn't reveal any of Derren's trickery! #setbuild #setconstruction #workshop #scenicart #scenicartist #setdesign

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Lesley Chenery. Lesley was a huge support to Splinter Scenery and is a sad loss indeed.

We're very saddened by this news. The coliseum is a theatre many of the Splinter team have a #local connection to and with many hours spent building sets for. This #theatre has always been a great asset for #Oldham, a prestigious venue that needs saving from the brink!

Hex at the @NationalTheatre has now opened after a turbulent start due to Covid, but now it's here and looking amazing! Here are some #BehindTheScenes shots creating the ring revolve with a rise & fall platform. #hex #theatreset #setbuild #engineering #workshop #scenography

#HappyHalloween We thought we'd share this beautifully rusty, old, decrepit set for @LivEveryPlay designed by Francis O'Connor. Can you guess the play? We'll give you a clue, it includes a trio of witches. #setdesign #setbuild #setconstruction #theatre #stagedesign #theatreset

Happy #WorldOperaDay! What a perfect excuse to take a look at some magnificent sets we built for @GrangeFestival over the last few years including Macbeth, Manon Lescaut & Tamerlano #opera #operaset #setdesign #setbuild #setbuilder #setconstrcution #operatic #tamerlano #macbeth

One from the archives: Did you know we can make pretty much anything, including exploding kitchen cabinets! This was a great touch of humour for the @somemothersuk UK Tour. #setdesign #setbuild #setconstruction #somemothers

Some great shots of 'The House With Chicken Legs' from earlier this year at @home_mcr designed by Jasmine Swan. Great local build for the Splinter team. #setbuild #setconstruction #theatre #theatreset #manchester #mcr #scenography

Take a look at the #Macbeth set, designed by Madeleine Boyd, for this years @GrangeFestival. It was a brilliant set to build with lots of details for our whole team to get involved with. #setconstruction #setbuild #setdesign #steelwork #opera #sceneography

We had a brilliant time this year at the @GrangeFestival, where we built not one but two shows: Macbeth and Tamerlano. We will share more photos soon. #setbuild #setbuilder #setconstruction #theatreset #opera #setdesign #scenography #scenografia #scenographie #macbeth #tamerlano

Lovely #setdesign for #LaurelAndHardy by Neil Murray at the @lyceumtheatre. It was a great set to build and as you can imagine our scenic artists had to buy in a lot more black & white paint than usual! 😉 #setbuild #scenic #theatre #edinburgh #blanckandwhite #scenography

It has been fantastic to watch the latest season of Gentleman Jack on BBC and to keep an eye out for Splinter's input, building the staircase and mezzanine gallery for Shibden Hall. #setdesign #setconstruction #setbuild #perioddrama #gentlemanjack #bbc
