You can really tell Vivek thought Indians were on the road to becoming the new top caste in America and now that it’s all crumbling before his eyes he can barely contain his superiority complex and contempt for the people he thinks should be rightfully beneath him

It is super odd to me that casually dressing well is treated by American millennials and Zoomers as a cringe larp. All of their heroes dress well. They WANT to look attractive. But the moment a guy does, expect to hear "holy larp".
Never seen such self-sabotaging generations.

“Our House” was released in November 1982 as the lead single from The Rise & Fall and became Madness' biggest international hit. It reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart and, in 1983, became the band's biggest American success by reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also won Best Pop Song at the 1983 Ivor Novello Awards. The Rise & Fall was not released in the United States at the time, instead, “Our House” was included on the American compilation Madness in 1983, helping introduce the band to a much wider US audience.
The song grew out of Chas Smash's idea that the band members should write songs about their different family backgrounds. While the others did not pursue the idea, Smash turned his own experience of family life into a warm and nostalgic portrait of a busy working-class household.

I hate “JD” Vance in a way I can’t put into words. Ukrainian civilians are being bombed, yet “JD” is worried about Russian gas. Is it some fruitless attempt to lower prices before the midterms? Or simply a last-ditch attempt to rescue the decrepit country that “trads” and “post-liberals” love so much? Either way, he’s a Vatnik. I’d support AOC over him if it came to that. #NeverVance

The message that you should be taking away from the HBO series, if you've truly honed your media literacy to a razor edge, is that its stupidity and ingratitude to the source material is a far better refutation of the original than its actual attempts at refutation.
Moore comes from a cohort of decrepit old leftists who genuinely believed in their day that they could create a better world, and that doing so justified whatever means they used. You're not meant to self-insert into Veidt, sure, but you are supposed to be a good little Nite Owl and do nothing while this imaginary revolutionary saves the stupid world from itself.
Intentionally or not, Lindelof depicted exactly the world that would come of this. Rorschach isn't believed in HBO's Watchmen, except by the right-wing fringe. Veidt won. Except... His "victory" achieved nothing. The world has sunk into a bitter malaise. The peace brought about by the "alien" attacks is held to, but society didn't improve in any way. Why was it written this way? Because the Cold War was long enough ago that even aging leftists like Lindelof forgot about it. Lofty causes like "prevent nuclear annihilation" are silly and out of date now, and leftists are rather embarrassed to have ever been associated with them. After all, we never had an alien invasion in real life, we never had superheroes, and yet nuclear war never happened. Capitalism won, the right wing won, America became absolute hegemon. All the things that Moore and his cohort said would usher in Doom did not. History just trundled on.
And all that's left, in the case of the Watchmen, is a collection of characters who compromised their morals and made peace with evil. For the sake of a cause we now know was totally unnecessary. Everyone Veidt killed died for nothing. There was never going to be a nuclear war. And of course there was only one character who never compromised himself. You were supposed to spite him for it, and yes, you were supposed to assume that his principles led to disaster, but now we know they didn't. Now we know he was just the only one who had a spine.
Under those conditions, you are going to have a very very hard time getting people to prefer a coward who killed millions for nothing to an "edgy neckbeard" who tried to save them.

Tremendous news for those with fetal alcohol syndrome.
Kid Rock and Eminem are teaming up on a Christian album, despite being on opposite sides of the political aisle.
The longtime Detroit friends have known each other for nearly 40 years, and Kid Rock says they made a pact long ago to never let politics destroy their friendship.
Now, he's bringing Eminem into his new faith-based project, "Halfway 2 Jesus," hoping their unlikely collaboration sends a message to a divided country.
Kid Rock also reveals what inspired his renewed focus on faith and his plans to bring Christian revivals to stadiums.

Bauhaus released their cover of David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” as a standalone single in October 1982, with “Third Uncle” on the B-side, turning the glam-rock classic into a darker, more theatrical post-punk recording. It reached No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart and spent seven weeks there, becoming the band’s highest-charting single.
The video was filmed in the tunnels under Camden Market, staged as a mock gig. Bowie later said it was a shock to hear anyone else sing the song and that he did not think the cover was especially successful, a cooler reaction than the praise often attributed to him. Even so, Bauhaus’s version remains one of the most distinctive Bowie reinterpretations, replacing the original’s glitter with the band’s own theatrical gloom.

Chud the Builder feels like the type of wild west outlaw who gets away with robbing a train only to drunkenly brag about it in a fit of drunken rage after losing in a poker game at the saloon, which eventually leads to his capture, execution, and sarcastic epitaph on his grave.

She sounds just like Karen Carpenter. And she’s not lip-synching. Amazing. What a beautiful, beautiful voice. That song brings back a lot of childhood memories. Yesterday Once More by the Carpenters sung by Harriet.

Boys will not play in girls sports
They won’t wear dresses, only shorts.
The grill has steaks, the porch has chairs,
And Uncle Sam says evening prayers.
Hasan rants from noon till dawn,
Yet we capitalists still carry on.
Our Walmart carts shall freely roll,
With fifty pounds of toilet roll.

"Not today, Satan. You will not steal our country. You will not have our children. You will not have our families. Enough is enough! I know I got somebody in this room that believes in the King of glory, the one who is strong and mighty, the one who is mighty in battle! He's got the only name given among men, whereby we must be saved."
"That's the name of JESUS!"
