Wanted to reiterate that a 28% response rate is CRAZY for a community of this size, getting an extremely high sample size leads us to have extreme confidence with the data.

For clarification, the 28% response rate is representative of the entire competitive community. For reference, 5% is the target for statistical significance. With nearly six-fold that sample size, there is extreme confidence with the response rates, and near zero margin of error.

Please note, these findings are strictly interpretations of the data collection. There will be larger discussions held to determine longer term impact of the competitive state as updates continue to roll out.

Image with Purple Background with the statement: Today, Nintendo announced significant changes to their policy regarding grassroots tournaments. Members of the T.O. Guild, representing many organisations in the community, have held a discussion to go over these changes and what they will mean for us moving forward. We are not worried about these changes, and you should not be worried either. All organisations will operate as usual, and we believe that these changes will not significantly impact us. We will continue to monitor the situation, and adapt accordingly to handle changes if and when necessary. Although we stay patient, we are not happy about these changes. In our view, Nintendo is stepping on the toes of a grassroots community they otherwise have not supported. We will voice our concerns to Nintendo in support of our community, and we ask you to do the same if you agree. Thanks everyone – players and spectators alike – for continuing to support us.
