Pierce is getting his flowers from the big boys! 👇🏻
QPR keeper Pierce Charles is only 21 and coming of age judging by these impressive past few weeks. Played every minute of Northern Ireland’s four games in the international break and kept four clean sheets against Georgia (home and away), Hungary and Ukraine. Saved a penalty from Georgia’s Kvaretskhelia and made an astonishing stop from Mikautadze in Tbilisi. Contributed an assist against Ukraine. And then back to Championship action. Against West Ham, the QPR keeper on loan from Manchester City saved a shot from Bowen, a shot from Piroe, a penalty from Bowen and Engels’ headed follow-up. Some of his long passes to left and right flanks were superb. As QPR head coach Julien Stephan observed, Charles is as good in possession as out of it. (Sheffield Wednesday also deserve praise for their part in Charles' development 21-26). This all came on the night when West Ham and their fans movingly saluted the memory of a much-loved goalkeeper, club legend Ludek Miklosko – and were joined by fans of QPR where he spent three seasons. #WHUFC #QPR

This tweet and the replies - gorgeous stuff! In all seriousness, we are very lucky because the Charles brothers would both easily play for England in their careers had they made that choice. Immensely proud to have both of them representing the GAWA 💚
He’s genuinely just fucking incredible. Forget Trafford, he’s Englands number 1 for the next World Cup…

English people seeing a great young player getting some media attention and slowly realising that they have 20-40 caps for Northern Ireland is always a lovely day on Twitter.

Pierce Charles!!! Crucial double save to preserve a great point for QPR at West Ham. Is there anything he can’t do?! #GAWA

Was discussing earlier - who would be your top 5 performers over this break? Mine: 1. Shea Charles 2. Pierce Charles 3. Trai Hume 4. Ciaron Brown 5. Tom Atcheson Couldn’t split Galbraith & McConville so they miss out purely because they played 3 while the rest played 4. Yours?

🥇 Top of the group & the only side in the Nations League not to have conceded. Feels like we’re nearing the levels that 2018 qualifying campaign where we kept 7/10 clean sheets 🪨 What Michael O’Neill has done with this side is nothing short of genius. #GAWA 🟢⚪️
