Doesn't surprise me at all tbh. We've created consistently good chances in most games this season. If we were more clinical we'd be well clear at the top already. keep at it blues ๐๐๐

That's a lot of words to say "we should give city special treatment". No. No we shouldn't. For the sake of sporting integrity the punishment needs to be severe. Simple as that
๐จ THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT RELEGATING A FOOTBALL CLUB. THE EFFECT OF A POTENTIAL MAN CITY DEMOTION.
If Manchester City were a mid-table club, would sending them down be easier?
But this is MANCHESTER CITY.
One of the biggest clubs in world football. Hundreds of millions in annual revenue. Global sponsors. A worldwide fanbase. A huge workforce. And a major economic footprint in Manchester and across English football.
Relegating City wouldnโt simply mean 20th place becoming 21st.
It could trigger a chain reaction across the Premier League.
City generated ยฃ694.1M in revenue in 2024/25. Take them out of the Premier League, and the consequences could reach broadcasting, sponsorships, matchday revenue, player contracts, recruitment and the clubโs entire commercial structure.
Then look at the Premier League itself.
No more City vs United.
No more City vs Liverpool.
No more City vs Arsenal.
No more City vs Chelsea.
Some of the biggest fixtures in English football would disappear from the league calendar.
And the impact wouldn't stop at football.
Manchester has an entire matchday economy built around City: hotels, restaurants, transport, hospitality, security, retail and employment.
This is why the Manchester City case is bigger than one club.
The Premier League has to protect the integrity of its rules.
But if the ultimate punishment is relegation, the consequences could reach far beyond the Etihad.
The question isn't simply what happens to Manchester City.
It's what happens to English football when one of its biggest clubs is removed from the Premier League.
Probably one of the best performances we've put in all season and it's gone unrewarded ๐ญ fair play to Cheltenham, took their chances well and their keeper played a blinder. We'll play much worse than that this season and win!
